ATS Corporation (Amex: ATSC) 2.5% HIGHER; this afternoon announced it has won several contracts totaling $4.9 million over a one-year period in which the company will support the U.S. Air Force, the Defense Technology Security Administration, and other State government and commercial accounts. ATS also announced that it has signed a settlement with the former principal owners of Advanced Technology System in regards to a previously disclosed indemnification claim associated with the Maximus lawsuit. As a result, ATS will receive a settlement payment of $1.25 million, an consequently concludes all of the Company's outstanding legal proceedings.
Shanda Games (Nasdaq: GAME) 2.1% HIGHER; reports Q2 adjusted EPS of $0.18, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.16. Revenue for the quarter was $163.9 million, which compares to the estimate of $166.40 million.
Men's Wearhouse (NYSE: MW) 1.5% HIGHER; reports Q2 adjusted EPS of $0.83, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.77. Revenue for the quarter was $537.0 million, which compares to the estimate of $535.01 million. Sees Q3 adjusted EPS of $0.40 - $0.47, compared to the consensus of $0.40. Same-store sales up 2.7%.
AeroVironment (Nasdaq: AVAV) 1.5% LOWER; reports Q1 loss of $0.16, 7 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.23). Revenue for the quarter was $38.2 million, which compares to the estimate of $39.32 million. Reiterates FY11 outlook.

52-Week High:
- JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (Nasdaq: JASO) high of $7.35. JASO announced after the market yesterday that they have signed 500-MW in supply agreements for mono-crystalline and multi-crystalline solar cells for 2011 delivery. Consequently, shares jumped 13.4% today to reach a new 52-week.
- NetApp, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTAP) high of $47.00. Been trending up since getting above the $42 mark several days ago as M&A action heats up in the tech sector. For example,. see Netezza below.
- Netezza Corporation (NYSE: NZ) high of $24.64. Shares are soaring on rumors of a takeover of the company. Notably, a press release stating that U.S. marketers will double their spending on online-derived data by 2012 sent the stock higher as well; the aforementioned press release came out at 10:30 am today. Shares of NZ traded 15.5% to its new 52-week high.
- Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. (Nasdaq: GMCR) high of $34.20. Up good today as the company announced an increase in prices yesterday, after the market closed. Effective October 11, 2010, prices on K-Cups will increase by 10 - 15%.
52-Week Low:
- Silicon Laboratories, Inc. (Nasdaq: SLAB) low of $34.18. SLAB cut their Q3 earnings outlook today, sending the shares plummeting on an overall up day in the markets. The company reduced their Q3 sales outlook from $136 - $141 million to $118 - $122 million. Also, EPS is expected to be $0.50 - $0.53, compared to the Street consensus of $0.72. Click here for more.
- BankAtlantic Bancorp Inc. (NYSE: BBX) low of $0.87. Investors are selling off today, potentially on an S-1 filing with the SEC, posted last Friday after the market closed, which would allow the company to sell up to $125 million of common stock. Shares dipped about 14.6% to reach its new 52-week low.
- H&R Block, Inc. (NYSE: HRB) low of $11.98. Dipped early today after a downgrade at Oppenheimer, but has now come back into the close.
Zymogenetics (Nasdaq: ZGEN) 84.1% HIGHER; Bristol-Myers (NYSE: BMY) to acquire ZGEN for $9.75/share in cash. Click here to see the full report.
Qiao Xing Mobile Communication Co. (NYSE: QXM) 30.6% HIGHER; Qiao Xing Universal Resources, Inc. (Nasdaq: XING) today announced that it has proposed to acquire all outstanding shares of Qiao Xing Mobile Communication that it does not currently own. Qiao Xing has proposed to issue 1.9 shares of its common stock plus US$0.80 in cash per share to shareholders of QXMC other than the Company.
EDAP TMS SA (Nasdaq: EDAP) 21.5% HIGHER; today reported favorable clinical outcomes for patients treated with Ablatherm-HIFU. For a representative number of patients with a minimum of two year follow-up and a maximum of 15 years, the cancer specific survival rate and the freedom from metastatic disease rate were 99% and 97%, respectively, at eight years. In this study, the local control of the disease was achieved with an 85% rate of negative biopsies and a biochemical disease free survival rate (Phoenix criteria) of 83% in low risk cancer patients.
Skilled Healthcare Group, Inc. (NYSE: SKH) 25.1% HIGHER; settles Humboldt County class action case. SKH will deposit $50 million in escrow accounts to cover the settlement payments. The accounts will be funded through SKH's revolving credit facility. The stock was also upgraded at Credit Suisse amid the settlement.
Cerus Corp. (Nasdaq: CERS) 20.4% HIGHER; traders are gobbling the stock up today following yesterday's presentation at the first international workshop on XMRV. The company demonstrated efficacy of its Intercept product. Notably, traders may be buying the stock today ahead of a presentation at Baird's Health Care Conference on Sept. 14.
China Agritech Inc. (Nasdaq: CAGC) 18.8% LOWER; Chardan Capital downgrades the stock from Neutral to Sell. Notably, only five analyst firms currently cover the stock.
Microtune, Inc. (Nasdaq: TUNE) 18.6% HIGHER; Zoran Corporation (Nasdaq: ZRAN) announces that they have entered an agreement to acquire Microtune for $2.92 per share in cash, or $84 million net of cash acquired.
RG Barry Corp. (NYSE: DFZ) 12.2% LOWER; reports Q4 loss of $0.15, vs. the analyst estimate of ($0.02). (only 1 analyst covers the stock)
Dot Hill Systems (Nasdaq: HILL) 8.0% LOWER; after making a sharp move above $1.25, traders may be taking some profit today as no real news is making the stock jump today.
BankAtlantic Bancorp Inc. (NYSE: BBX) 7.9% LOWER; shares continuing lower today following a move down yesterday on an SEC S-1 filing last week that allowed the Bank to sell up to $125 million shares of Class A common stock. Going all the way back to the end of July, shares of BBX have only closed higher 6 times.
AngioDynamics (Nasdaq: ANGO) 7.5% LOWER; issues preliminary Q1 EPS of 7c - 8c on sales of $51.5 million. The Street is currently looking for quarterly EPS of 10c on sales of $54.38 million.

Gainers
- Financial Select Sector SPDR (NYSE: XLF) up 1.45% to $14.39. Banks are making a recovery after the sector led the markets lower yesterday. Euro bank fears resurfaced, but the ECB's commitment for liquidity in the banks kept fears in check.
- United States Oil (NYSE: USO) up 1.37% to $33.22. October oil contracts are about $0.44/barrel higher today, to $74.53/barrel. Contract prices have been on a modest decline since the beginning of September, mostly on economic concerns and inventory stockpiles. Investors are looking for the EIA to report that crude inventories increased by 300,000 barrels for the week ended September 3, 2010.
- Oil Services HOLDRs (NYSE: OIH) up 1.46% to $104.18. Shares higher today as BP Plc. (NYSE: BP) released a report that spread the blame for the Gulf of Mexico oil spill around, saying that there was "no single factor" in the spill.
Receders
- Semiconductor HOLDRs (NYSE: SMH) down 0.75% to $25.12. Although there is some rebound out of a few stocks today following a selloff in the tech sector yesterday, shares are still seeing weakness today after an analyst at UBS downgraded Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) today from Buy to Neutral on the slowing PC market.
- iPath S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures ETN (NYSE: VXX) down 2.04% to $19.20. Stock markets are continuing their moderate rally today after receding yesterday over renewed debt and banking concerns in Europe yesterday. Today, headlines are reporting that Ireland's government is fixing to split Anglo Irish Bank (NYSE: AIB) into two banks; one would be a "funding bank" and the other branch would be an "asset recovery bank." The CBOE VIX is trading 2.86% lower in the early afternoon session.
- United States Natural Gas (NYSE: UNG) down 0.15% to $6.45. Trading just negative today as traders are weighing forecasts versus inventories over the next week. Forecasts are calling for more milder temps in the Northeast and Midwest U.S., while nat gas stores are currently 5.8% above the five-year average. October contracts are trading slightly higher today, up $0.002 to $3.854/mmBtu.
