This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • Tenet Healthcare Corp. (NYSE: THC) high of $6.70. Despite rejecting the offer, a bid of $6.00 from Community Health (NYSE: CYH) is attracting attention to the company today, pushing the shares over 56% higher today.

  • Atmel Corporation (Nasdaq: ATML) high of $74.85. Shares are up about 180% since July, as the stock continues higher on strong buying from investors. No real news, just some huge momentum.

  • Cablevision Systems Corporation (NYSE: CVC) high of $34.89. Announced joining the S&P 500. Shares jumped 4.6% to the high today on investors sentiment.

  • lululemon athletica Inc. (Nasdaq: LULU) high of $68.11. Shares are continuing higher following a strong third quarter showing, and even better fourth quarter outlook. Shares upgraded by Jefferies from Underperform to Hold, with a price target boosted from $40 to $65.
52-Week Low:
  • The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, Inc. (NYSE: GAP) low of $0.86. A substantial drop here following reports that the company may need to go into bankruptcy. Shares are currently halted on the NYSE.

  • Molecular Insight Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: MIPI) low of $0.27. Dropping today following the announcement that they would be entering a $45 million financing commitment with Savitr Capital LLC. The financing will be effected through a corporate reorganization under a chapter 11 filing, which commenced today. The company's CEO and CFO tendered their resignations as well.
