52-Week High:
- Mercadolibre, Inc. (Nasdaq: MELI) high of $95.48. Mercadolibre is keeping momentum after moving through the $90 price level yesterday. Volume on the move to the new high for the LatAm e-Commerce giant is about 300 percent normal.
- Southern Company (NYSE: SO) high of $44.74. No specific news is out on Souther Co today, but the stock has kept momentum through the $44.50 level, which it brok through today.
- Carter's, Inc. (NYSE: CRI) high of $41.69. Carter's moving higher as Goldman Sachs upgraded the stock to Buy, with a price target of $46, suggesting 14.5 percent upside.
- China Medical Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: CMED) low of $2.46. China Medical Tech plummeted 27 percent after Glaucus Research initiated coverage on the stock with a Strong Sell, believing its equity is worth zero. Click here for more on that.
- Galena Biopharma (Nasdaq: GALE) low of $0.48. Galena entered into separate exchange agreements with several institutional holders of its outstanding warrants to surrender for cancellation of some of the warrants having "ratchet" price-based anti-dilution protection features in exchange for shares of Company common stock. Under the separate agreements, the warrant holders collectively have agreed to exchange warrants to purchase a total of 5,930,000 shares of the Company's common stock for an aggregate of 4,151,000 shares of Company common stock, representing an exchange ratio of approximately 1.43 warrant shares for each share of our common stock to be received by the warrant holders. The initial closing is expected to take place on or about December 6, 2011, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
- Getty Realty Corp. (NYSE: GTY) low of $13.01. After the market closed Monday, Getty reported its largest tenant, Getty Petroleum Marketing, Inc., filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of New York. Getty down 12.7 percent on the news.
