Notable 52-Week Highs and Lows of the Day 12/02: TSM, ATML, ANF, FNSR High; CISG, INSM, ITRI Low

This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:

• Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (NYSE: TSM) high of $11.57. Seeing some strong upward movement today, bolstered by positive sentiment by their Chairman Morris Chang. The executive said that he expects chip sales in the first quarter to be stronger than average. He thinks sales in Q111 may range from (5%) to flat, compared to Q410.
  
  
• Atmel Corporation (Nasdaq: ATML) high of $11.45. Getting a boost today from Collins Stweart, which initiated coverage on the shares with a Buy rating and $13 price target.
  
  
• Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (NYSE: ANF) high of $56.06. Making a solid move higher today after reporting a 22% surge in comparable-store sales, on an over 32% increase in sales in November. The stock jumped 11.1% to the new high today.
  
  
• Finisar Corp. (Nasdaq: FNSR) high of $23.41. After the market closed yesterday, reported a Q2 non-GAAP EPS of $0.44, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.38. Revenue for the quarter came in at $240.94 million, versus the consensus estimate of $229.67 million. Finisar sees Q311 revs of $247 - $262 million and an non-GAAP EPS of $0.45 - $0.47, versus the consensus revs outlook of $240.46 million and an EPS of $0.41.

52-Week Low:

• Cninsure Inc. (Nasdaq: CISG) low of $15.33. Dropping today as an analyst at OLP Global claims that the company may be overstating profits. Shares fell over 30%, but have since recovered.
  
  
• Insmed Incorporated (Nasdaq: INSM) low of $0.59. Another big mover today, after announcing that they have entered into a business combination with Transave, Inc.
  
  
• Itron, Inc. (Nasdaq: ITRI) low of $52.03. Drooping today as Goldman Sachs started coverage on the shares with a Sell rating and $45 price target.
