Notable 52-Week Highs and Lows of the Day 11/17: COST, BJ, IDT Higher; RINO, STP, MELA, HAFC Lower
This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
- Costco Wholesale Corporation (Nasdaq: COST) high of $67.13. Hitting a new high again today following an unusual midday move yesterday which saw the stock spike over 1% on higher volume. Shares might also be getting a boost from BJ's Wholesale (NYSE: BJ), who reported Q3 earnings.
- BJ's Wholesale Club Inc. (NYSE: BJ) high of $48.25. BJ's reported a third quarter EPS of $0.43 on revs of $2.57, mxed to the consensus EPS of $0.36 and revs of $2.64 billion. Increased their FY10 EPS outlook from $2.40 - $2.50 to $2.48 - $2.52, compared to the consensus of $2.45.
- IDT Corporation (NYSE: IDT) high of $22.39. Announced late yesterday that Lord (Jacob) Rothschild and Rupert Murdoch have each purchased equity stakes in their Genie Oil and Gas Inc.
- RINO International Corporation (Nasdaq: RINO) low of $5.68. Shares fell over 20.6% today, though they have rebounded since then, and are currently halted. The company has not responded to allegations for fraud by Muddy Waters. The company is also postponing their Q310 conference call and will provide a timely response to the recent allegations." Canaccord reiterated a Sell rating on the stock today, while analysts at Global Hunter and Rodman & Renshaw put their ratings on the stock under review.
- Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. (NYSE: STP) low of $7.46. Fell over 10% today following third quarter earnings results which provided an EPS of $0.18, about five cents shy of the $0.23 consensus. Revs were strong at $743.7 million. They also announced plans for a $127 million acquisition of a 375-MW of ingot and wafer slicing capacity in China.
- MELA Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: MELA) low of $2.61. Continued lower today following a shellacking yesterday as FDA briefing documents were posted ahead of an FDA advisory panel MelaFind on November 18. The FDA staff said MelaFind hasn't been adequately studied as a skin-cancer diagnostic tool and therefore may put the public health at risk.
- Hanmi Financial Corp. (Nasdaq: HAFC) low of $0.91. Took an unusual dip just before 2:00pm today, though shares had already been trending lower. Early yesterday, they announced the receipt of a waiver from Woori Finance Holdings Co. Ltd. with respect to the exclusivity provisions of the Securities Purchase Agreement, dated May 25, 2010, by and between the Company and Woori. The waiver allows Hanmi to pursue, if needed, further fund raising efforts and/or alternative proposals to acquire control of the Company.
