52-Week High:
  • Cepheid (Nasdaq: CPHD) high of $42.65. Cepheid is continuing momentum from a rally that sent shares closing 8.1 percent higher Tuesday. The stock has attracted some buyers ever since Goldman upgraded Cepheid to Buy on September 23rd.

  • Bristol-Myers Squibb Company (NYSE: BMY) high of $32.68. Bristol-Myers Squibb is continuing higher, aiming for its ninth sessions of closing in positive territory. After the market closed, Bristol-Myers Squibb said it entered into a $1.5 billion Five Year Competitive Advance and Revolving Credit Facility Agreement, which replaces an existing $2.0 billion Five Year Competitive Advance and Revolving Credit Facility.
52-Week Low:
  • Lufkin Industries Inc. (Nasdaq: LUFK) low of $42.10. Lufkin is lower following revised guidance today. Lufkin sees third-quarter sales of$225 to $235 million, down from prior guidance of $230 to $250 million and compared to the Street estimate of $242.52 million. Lufkin sees EPS of 55 to 60 cents, down from a prior 72 to 82 cent range and compared to the analyst consensus of 77 cents. Lufkin also sees Q4 sales of $240 to $260 million, which compares to the Street estimate of $255.22 million. EPS expected to be 70 to 80 cents, versus the consensus of 91 cents. The company had previously expected Q4 EPS of 85 to 95 cents.

  • WebMD Health Corp. (Nasdaq: WBMD) low of $27.05. After the market closed Tuesday, WebMD said it sees sales for the September quarter (Q311) at the lower end of its previously issued range. WebMD also sees Q3 adjusted EBITDA slightly above 29 percent of sales.

  • CDC Corp. (Nasdaq: CHINA) low of $0.42. CDC Corp disclosed a bankruptcy filing from October 4th.

  • Omnicare Inc. (NYSE: OCR) low of 20.36. Omnicare initially closed 12 percent lower Tuesday following reports that the U.S. may call for nursing homes to use independent pharmacists to monitor and review elderly patient prescriptions instead of using services, such as that being offered by Omnicare.
