  • Amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN) high of $250.00. Amazon hitting a new 52-week high following early sentiment on COST) high of $. Costco reported that comparable-store sales rose 6 percent in August, versus consensus views calling for a 4.4 percent gain. Overall, sales increased 8 percent to $7.40 billion in the period. Comparably, comps rose 7 percent in July, 5 percent in June, and a 10 percent increase in comps for the same period last year.
52-Week Low:
  • Dell, Inc. (Nasdaq: DELL) low of $10.69. Dell is on a tremendous un-winning streak here. Following second-quarter results issued last week, the PC and server giant has trickled lower, down five of the last six, or six of the last seven if today is a no-win as well.

Sentiment in the PC segment has been largely absent as of recent, with a ton of new product announcements slated for early September. Many of the announcements will be tablet devices aimed at challenging Dell in the PC sector, still one of the Company's largest revenue contributors.

  • Groupon, Inc. (Nasdaq: GRPN) low of $4.22. Owning Groupon is akin to trimming your nail down to the quick: it's a constant bother (and painful when touched!). Shares are down marvelously since reporting quarterly results on August 13th (more here), losing 11 of the last 12 sessions.

We'd make a joke about Groupon shares being half off, but we're not sure enough buyers would participate to get the deal.

  • BP Prudhoe Bay Royalty Trust (NYSE: BPT) low of $75.12. Volatile BP Prudhoe Bay RT is at it again today. After starting out near annual lows and dipping early, the Trust is up over 18 percent on the session. It was earlier reported that shares fell as much as 30 percent from the close last Friday through yesterday, before making today's move higher.
