52-Week High:
- Ann, Inc. (NYSE: ANN) high of $34.37. Ann rose 22 percent on the session to hit its new high following strong second-quarter 2012 results and guidance. Ann's Q2 EPS beat by 12 cents on a 4.7 percent gain in comps.
Guidance for FY12 sales came in at $2.385 billion, versus $2.37 billion consensus.
- Gap, Inc. (NYSE: GPS) high of $36.22. Gap higher in its own Q2 results and boosted guidance. Earnings for Gap came in 1 cent ahead of views. The retailer also boosted its outlook for 2012 EPS from $1.78 - $1.83 to a range of $1.95 - $2.00, versus the consensus of $2.08.
- Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) high of $645.49. Getting a boost from Jefferies, which boosted its price target earlier, Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) hit another record high at $645.49 today, effectively quieting the naysayers. If you bought Apple on the dip following Q312 results when the stock was still a staggering $570, congratulations, you made about 13 percent return in on month.
- Foot Locker, Inc. (NYSE: FL) high of $37.98. Foot Locker higher on its second-quarter report, showing a 6 cent EPS beat on stronger-than-expected sales. Shares moved over 10 percent to the new high Friday.
- Molycorp, Inc. (NYSE: MCP) low of $9.75. Molycorp lower Friday following a downgrade at Dahlman Rose as well as pricing of a dilutive equity offering. Shares fell over 12 percent on the session.
- Life Partners Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: LPHI) low of $2.02. Life Partners reported that he Texas Attorney General, acting for the State Securities Board, filed suit against Life Partners, Life Partners, Inc., its Chairman and President, Brian Pardo, and its General Counsel, Scott Peden. Pardo and Peden are also directors of Life Partners.
The suit seeks a temporary restraining order and appointment of receiver based generally on allegations that Life Partners’ life settlements are securities under Texas law and that Life Partners made various misrepresentations in the sale of the life settlements, including misrepresentations about the life expectancies of the insureds.
- Facebook, Inc. (Nasdaq: FB) low of $19.01. Facebook lower following lock-ups expiring and expected future expiration. The flood od shares is causing some oversupply in the marketplace. Shares are down about 12 percent on the week.
