Notable 52-Week High's and Low's of the Day 07/29: CTXS, ENTR, CROX, VMED High; NVDA, SYMC, LSI, COV Low
This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.
52-Week High:
- Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS) high of $56.00. The company reported a Q2 EPS of $0.41, versus the analyst estimate of $0.45. Revenue for the quarter was $458 million, which compares to the estimate of $436.94 million. Sees Q3 EPS of $0.48 - $0.49, versus $0.48 consensus. Also the company sees Q3 sales of $450 - $460 million, versus $446 million consensus. The stock was also upgraded at Baird, Citi, Cowen and Deutsche Bank.
- Entropic Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: ENTR) high of $7.77. Reported a second quarter adjusted EPS of $0.08, beating by one cent. Revs for the quarter were $40.7 million, compared to the consensus of $39.65 million. The stock was upgraded by Benchmark and BWS Financial today.
- CROCS Inc. (Nasdaq: CROX) high of $12.41. Getting a boost today after the announcement that Columbia Sportswear (Nasdaq: COLM) settled their pending claims against Crocs.
- Virgin Media, Inc. (Nasdaq: VMED) high of $21.00. Announced their second quarter earnings results yesterday. Reported total revs of £964.2 million, compared to £900.1 million for Q209. Also announced a £375 million 12-month share buyback program.
52-Week Low:
- NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA) low of $9.07. Having a rough day. Slashed their second quarter outlook after the market yesterday, and received downgrades from J.P. Morgan, FBR Capital, and UBS. NVIDIA sees Q210 revs in the range of $800 - $820 million, from $950 - $970 previously.
- Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq: SYMC) low of $12.90. After the market yesterday, the company posted a first quarter EPS of $0.35 and revs of $1.43 billion, compared to the consensus EPS of $0.35 and $1.47 billion in revs. The company, however, guided below the Street, seeing Q210 sales of $1.445 - $1.465, versus the consensus of $1.53 billion and a Q2 EPS of $0.27 - $0.28, versus the consensus of $0.34. Downgraded by FBR Capital, Raymond James, and Pacific Crest today.
- LSI Corporation (NYSE: LSI) low of $4.09. Again, reported a Q2 EPS of $0.11, which was in-line analyst estimate of $0.11. Revenue for the quarter was $639 million, which compares to the estimate of $654.44 million. LSI sees a Q3 EPS of $0.08 - $0.14, versus $0.13. Sees sales of $625 - $655 million versus $694.9 million consensus. The stock was downgraded at UBS.
- Covidien plc (NYSE: COV) low of $35.59. Reported a third quarter EPS of $0.85 and revs of $2.56 billion, compared to the consensus EPS of $0.80 and $2.61 billion in revs. Pharmaceutical sales fell 6% Y/Y to $507 million and medical supplies sales fell 3% to $439 million.
