This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • eBay (Nasdaq: EBAY) high of $44.44. Shares of eBay moving to a new high following second quarter results, which showed a 16 percent increase in net income bolstered by a 26 percent jump in PayPal revenues.

    Shares up nearly 10 percent on the session Thursday.

  • Amarin Corp. (Nasdaq: AMRN) high of $15.96. Amarin stronger following its webpage showing FDA approval of VASCEPA, which is the brand name for AMR101

  • Skyworks (Nasdaq: SWKS) high of $29.75. Skyworks up as much as 11.7 percent following mostely in-line third-quarter results, issued after the market closed Wednesday. Shares had been a little range bound ahead of its results.

  • Mellanox Technologies (Nasdaq: MLNX) high of $96.50. Mellanox killing it today after destroying consensus views for its second-quarter numbers. Earnings beat expectations by 25 cents per share. Shares popped just over 45 percent on the session.
52-Week Low:
  • TIM Participacoes S.A. (NYSE: TSU) low of $21.32. TIM fell after disclosing that Anatel disproportionally blocked the sale of new lines in 19 states. Shares dropped just over 10 percent on the news.

    Volume is exceptional on the move today, with over 8 million shares trading hands versus the typical session of about 1.5 million.

  • Whiting USA Trust I (WHX) low of $8.81. Whiting continuing lower following Stifel Nicolaus starting coverage with a Sell rating and $7 price target. Stifel is one of only three analysts on the stock.

    Shares are down over 46 percent since the close on July 17th.

  • Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (Nasdaq: GMCR) low of $17.38. Green Mountain seeing some weakness amid somewhat of a positive note from Goldman earlier saying that Starbucks (Nasdaq: SBUX) continues to gain K-Cup market share.
