Notable 52-Week Highs and Lows of the Day 07/05: (TJX) (OSUR) (NEON) High; (NOK) (VISN) (AMBO) Low

This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • The TJX Co.'s (NYSE: TJX) high of $44.63. TJX higher after reporting a 7 percent increase in comps as well as boosting its outlook. The retailer raised its second-quarter 2012 EPS outlook from a range of 47 cents to 50 cents up to $52 cents to 53 cents. The Street was looking for EPS of 51 cents.

    In addition, fiscal 2012 EPS expectations move from $2.27 to $2.37 up to $2.31 to $2.39. The Street consensus is currently at $2.42.

    Shares moved 5 percent higher on the session today.

  • OraSure Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: OSUR) high of $13.65. OraSure continuing higher Thursday after getting FDA approval for its In-Home HIV Test on Thursday.

    Shares moved 12.8 percent higher to the new level.

  • Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPPI) high of $16.88. Spectrum Pharma moving higher following a dip on Tuesday after announcing it is initiating an international, randomized, placebo-controlled Phase 2 study evaluating lucanthone in primary therapy for Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM). Shares are also stronger above the $16 price level.

  • Neonode (Nasdaq: NEON) high of $7.40. Moving higher on positive sentiment as the Swedish company helped HTC defeat Apple in a patent battle over sliding to unlock a mobile device. The device demonstrated was the Neonode N1.
52-Week Low:
  • Nokia Corp. (NYSE: NOK) low of $2.00. Nokia dropped 6.1 percent to bounce right off of the $2 price level Thursday. No specific news on the company, though recent news has the Finnish mobile giant going after Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) and ASUS over the new Nexus 7 tablet for patent infringement. Nokia currently holds over 10,000 mobile device and networking patents.

  • VisionChina Media (Nasdaq: VISN) low of $0.67. VisionChina cut its outlook for the second-quarter, now seeing service revs of $28 million to $29 million, from $40 million to $43 million prior and consensus views of $41.4 million. For more color on the outlook, click here.

    Shares dropped 28 percent on the news.

  • Ambow Education Holding (NYSE: AMBO) low of $3.87. Ambow lower after reporting a first-quarter loss of 14 cents per share on revs of RMB 374.8 million. The Street was looking for EPS of 29 cents and revs of EMB 394.2 million.

    Looking ahead, the company said it sees second-quarter revs of RMB 440 million to RMB 460 million, compared with views calling for RMB 572 million. For fiscal 2012, revs should be RMB 1.9 billion to RMB 2.1 billion, compared with Street views calling for RMB 2.15 billion.

    The Company's Chief Financial Officer Gareth Kung also resigned.
