ONTY Hot Sheet
Overall Analyst Rating:
    BUY (Up Up)
This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • Oncothyreon Inc (Nasdaq: ONTY) high of $9.21. This stock is officially on a tear. Oncothyreon has begun soaring since announcing initiation of anti-cancer agent PX-866 at the end of May, but in reality, shares have been on an upward trend since its fourth-quarter earnings report. The stock is up over 200 percent since then.

  • GT Solar International, Inc. (Nasdaq: SOLR) high of $14.19. Ripping today, bolstered by Wunderlich Securities, which believes that, though there may be consolidation in 2011, growth in the market might exceed 40 percent in 2012 on the backs of Germany, China, and the U.S.

  • Holly Corporation (NYSE: HOC) high of $67.94. Announced the settlement of pending shareholder litigation ahead of its proposed merger with Frontier Oil (NYSE: FTO). Shares moved 5.4 percent to the new high today.
52-Week Low:
  • Nanosphere, Inc. (Nasdaq: NSPH) low of $1.64. Nanosphere is down 26 percent today, following an update on its premarket approval application following the FDA issuance of a not approvable letter for the Verigene Clopidogrel Metabolism Nucleic Acid Test (Plavix Metabolism). The Company believes the deficiencies cited in the FDA letter are resolvable and ultimately the PMA for the Plavix Metabolism test will be approved by the FDA, although there can be no assurance of such approval.

  • ReneSola Ltd. (NYSE: SOL) low of $4.36. As noted yesterday, ReneSola is continuing a downward trend which started in mid-February. Recent speculation surrounding some Chinese stocks may be adding a bit of pressure today.
