Notable 52-Week Highs and Lows of the Day 05/29: (DAL) (CRUS) (SNTS) High; (LDK) (TLB) (STD) Low

This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • Delta Air Lines Inc. (NYSE: DAL) high of $11.75. Delta moving higher Tuesday following the long weekend -- all but outpacing peers in the process -- after gaining last week on falling crude prices, which should lead to richer margins for jet fuel. In addition, President Ed Bastian disclosed the sale of 75,000 shares for an average price of $11.146 last Friday. The sales were made on May 24th.

  • Cirrus Logic, Inc. (Nasdaq: CRUS) high of $. Cirrus moving 7.4 percent higher on new rumors that Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) upcoming TV set is moving into the production stages. Cirrus is a maker of signal processing chips.

  • Santarus (Nasdaq: SNTS) high of $6.88. Santarus said CEO Gerald T. Proehl will be speaking at the Jefferies 2012 Global Healthcare Conference on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. Eastern time (11:30 a.m. Pacific time) in New York City. Shares moved nearly 15 percent higher following the brief release.
52-Week Low:
  • LDK Solar Co., Ltd. (NYSE: LDK) low of $1.86. LDK is actually outpacing most of its peers in moving lower Tuesday. Shares initially saw a dip following the U.S. unveiling anti-dumping tariffs last week, but others in the sector appear to be following broader market movements.

    After closing at $3.05 last Wednesday, shares are down 39 percent in just one week.

  • The Talbots Inc. (NYSE: TLB) low of $1.32. Talbots lower as investors and traders are awaiting its quarterly conference call, scheduled to happen at 4:30pm today. To listen to the call, dial (866) 336-2423 and provide the passcode: "TLB."

  • Banco Santander, S.A. (NYSE: STD) low of $5.34. Santander pressured following the release of a bailout plan for Spain's Bankia. The €19 billion plan caused Bankia shares to fall 29 percent, dragging Spain's IBEX 35 down 2.2 percent in the process.
