Notable 52-Week Highs and Lows of the Day 04/24: (T) (ALGN) (HSY) High; (RSH) (OTT) Low

This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • AT&T, Inc. (NYSE: T) high of $31.90. AT&T moving comfortably higher following strong quarterly numbers issued earlier in the session. For its first-quarter, AT&T produced earnings of 60 cents per share on revs of $31.82 billion, versus views calling for EPS of 57 cents and revs of $31.85 billion. AT&T reported a stronger conversion to smartphones as well, from 46.2 percent of its user base last year to 59.3 percent in the recent quarter.

  • Align Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: ALGN) high of $34.29. Align reported first-quarter EPS of 27 cents on revs of $870 million, compared with views calling for EPS of 21 cents and revs of $868.1 million. Looking ahead, Align sees second-quarter revs of $873 million to $895 million and a loss of 10 cents to profit of 14 cents, better than expectations calling for a loss of 17 cents in the quarter.

    Shares moved 25 percent to the new level Tuesday.

  • The Hershey Company (NYSE: HSY) high of $66.94. Hershey up 7.5 percent on the session following earnings. The noted candy maker reported first-quarter EPS of 96 cents and revs of $1.73 billion, beating views calling for EPS of 80 cents and revs of $1.66 billion.

52-Week Low:
  • RadioShack Corp. (NYSE: RSH) low of $5.28. RadioShack off about 12 percent after reporting a surprise first-quarter loss of 8 cents per share with revs of $1.01 billion. The Street was looking for profit of 5 cents per share and revs of $1.06 billion.

  • Otelco Inc. (Nasdaq: OTT) low of $5.55. Otelco fell 45 percent Monday following word that Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC) has indicated that it will not renew its existing contract for wholesale network connections provided by Otelco. The contract in question represented approximately 11.7 percent of Otelco’s consolidated revenue for 2011. For more color, click here.

    Shares moved an additional 17 percent to its new low.
