Notable 52-Week Highs and Lows of the Day 02/24: (ROYL) (PKI) (PCLN) (MTZ) High; (DDSS) (RSH) (ORA) Low

This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • Royale Energy Inc. (Nasdaq: ROYL) high of $6.23. Rallying as crude prices surge to $100 per barrel due to Middle East tensions today. The stock itself moved over 74% higher to the new high today.

  • PerkinElmer Inc. (NYSE: PKI) high of $28.37. Investors buying in after the company missed acquiring Beckman Coulter (NYSE: BEC) by $0.25, according to Bloomberg. Shares are up 9.4% to the high today as investors hope that a better deal is in the works.

  • priceline.com Incorporated (Nasdaq: PCLN) high of $469.40. Priceline reported Q4 EPS of $3.40 on revs of $731 million, compared to the consensus EPS of $3.10 and revs of $736.14 million.

  • MasTec, Inc. (NYSE: MTZ) high of $18.17. Reported Q4 EPS of $0.44 and revs of $731 million, topping the consensus EPS of $0.37 with revs of $649.85 million. Both Q111 and FY11 guidance came in ahead of the Street.
52-Week Low:
  • Labopharm Inc. (Nasdaq: DDSS) low of $0.6566. DDSS lower amid reporting a Q4 loss of $0.10, versus ($0.11) reported for the same period a year ago. Revenue for the quarter was $8.3 million, compared to $6.7 million in Q409.

  • RadioShack Corp. (NYSE: RSH) low of $14.51. Continuing lower today as no news is enough to send investors rushing into the stock. Canaccord Genuity offered a review of the quarter.

  • Ormat Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ORA) low of $23.37. Baird lowered from Outperform to Neutral today, lowering their price target from $35 to $24. The move follows a soft earnings report yesterday.
