- Seagate Technology PLC (Nasdaq: STX) high of $26.15. Seagate is ripping higher today following its second-quarter earnings report and outlook. Shares moved 23.7 percent to the new mark. For more color on the quarter, click here.
- Microsoft Corporation (Nasdaq: MSFT) high of $30.05. Microsoft just got above $30 before heading back down. With Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) new privacy policies being implemented, many might start flocking to Microsoft and its Bing search engine.
- Aetna Inc. (NYSE: AET) high of 42.27. Aetna issued a slight fourth-quarter miss Wednesday, though revs topped views. Shares moved 4.5 percent to the new high.
- Medivation, Inc. (Nasdaq: MDVN) high of $70.87. Medivation jumped nearly 28 percent to the new high following positive results from Phase 3 AFFIRM trial of the investigational drug MDV3100 in men with prostate cancer previously treated with chemotherapy. For more, click here.
- Quicksilver Resources Inc. (NYSE: KWK) low of $4.14. Quicksilver is down 17 percent as nat gas prices continue their descent. Demand for the commodity is waning as warmer weather hangs around much of the U.S., sending stockpiles to record levels.
- EXCO Resources Inc. (NYSE: XCO) low of $7.02. EXCO Resources lower reported a subsidiary entered into a First Amendment to Credit Agreement to, among other things, (i) increase the borrowing base from $500.0 million to $600.0 million, (ii) allow for the issuance and refinancing of unsecured senior note indebtedness under certain conditions and (iii) require TGGT to maintain a maximum leverage ratio of total debt to EBITDA of not greater than 5.00 to 1.00 subject to an increase of not greater than 5.50 to 1.00 for (a) any period ended in a fiscal quarter (and the next three succeeding fiscal quarters) where a permitted acquisition occurs for which the cash consideration paid by the borrower exceeds $50.0 million or (b) any period ended in a fiscal quarter where unsecured senior note indebtedness is outstanding; provided, that the ratio of secured debt to EBITDA on the last day of such quarter is not greater than 4.00 to 1.00.
