This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
- Idenix Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: IDIX) high of $14.59. Idenix is up 100-percent-plus for the week, following the proposed buyout of Inhibitex, Inc. (Nasdaq: INHX) by Bristol-Myers Squibb (NYSE: BMY). As previously mentioned, with Inhibitex gone, Idenix becomes the number one takeover target in the HCV sector. Notably, Idenix has added over $700 million to its market cap this week alone.
- Achillion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACHN) high of $12.95. Achillion also reacted to Inhibitex this week. Shares are up 63.5 percent or so from last Friday's close. Some insider selling earlier in the week may have given investors pause Thursday, but, as the old saying goes, the market doesn't lie.
- Ariad Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: ARIA) high of $14.35. Ariad higher as peer Dendreon (Nasdaq: DNDN) has been getting some positive sentiment lately. Ariad has just been on a solid trend ever since hitting a recent low in early October.
- Nuance Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: NUAN) high of $29.40. Nuance moving higher following an upgrade at Longbow Research to Buy, and target raise to $33 (from $28) at FBR Capital earlier.
- Metabolix, Inc. (Nasdaq: MBLX) low of $2.58. Metabolix slammed over 55 percent on the session, following reports that Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) terminated the Telles, LLC joint venture for PHA bioplastics.
- Quicksilver Resources Inc. (NYSE: KWK) low of $5.69. Quicksilver lower again as nat gas continues its price slide on warmer weather, and gloomy outlook. Shares moved 9 percent Friday, and are down 19 percent for the week.
- Shutterfly, Inc. (Nasdaq: SFLY) low of $21.34. After the market closed Thursday, Shutterfly reported that Mark Rubash, senior vice president and CFO, will leave Shutterfly on February 24, 2012. Shares moved as much as 11.3 percent on the session.
