52-Week High:
- Apollo Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: APOL) high of $57.09. Apollo moved 6.3 percent on the day, following its first-quarter earnings report on Thursday. EPS for the quarter was $1.28 on revs of $1.18 billion, beating views calling for EPS of $1.18 and revs of $1.16 billion. Also, Apollo announced that Charles B. “Chas” Edelstein will retire as co-Chief Executive Officer and director of the company on August 26, 2012.
- Macy's, Inc. (NYSE: M) high of $34.80. Continuing higher Friday, following strong retail sales numbers, as well as a boosted outlook, dividend, and buyback.
- Ariad Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: ARIA) high of $13.82. Ariad continues as nothing is out there to slow the stock down. Shares recently broke through the $12.50 price level, and previous annual high of $13.50 today, with volume reinforcing the move.
- RF Micro Devices, Inc. (Nasdaq: RFMD) low of $4.45. After the market closed Thursday, RF Micro reported fourth-quarter revs of $225 million or so, falling short of the $250.2 million average expected on the Street. - DURECT Corporation (Nasdaq: DRRX) low of . DURECT reports that the U.S. pivotal Phase III clinical study for POSIDUR known as BESST did not reach statistical significance. For more, click here.
- Integra (Nasdaq: IART) low of $24.90. Integra fell 18.4 percent after reporting preliminary fourth-quarter 2011 results: adjusted earnings should in the range of 65 cents to 70 cents per share, which compares to the Street estimate of 79 cents. Sees sales $202 to $203 million, which compares to the Street estimate of $212.8 million.
