This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • Flotek Industries Inc. (NYSE: FTK) high of $12.23. Flotek moved 16.3 percent to its new 52-week mark today, as shares are making a real strong run above $10.75. This is the best level Flotek has been at since September 2008, or over three years.

  • Liz Claiborne Inc. (NYSE: LIZ) high of $9.43. Liz Claiborne moving higher following an announcement this morning "that it s changing its name to "Fifth & Pacific Companies" to better communicate its strategic focus on growing its three global lifestyle brands (Juicy Couture, kate spade and Lucky Brand) and reflect the sale of the Liz Claiborne namesake brand to J.C. Penney, among other recent transactions. The change is expected to be effective on or about May 15, 2012 at which time the Company will begin trading as Fifth & Pacific Companies, Inc. (NYSE: FNP)."

    Shares were up as much as 9.5 percent on the session.

  • The Home Depot, Inc. (NYSE: HD) high of $42.92. Home Depot continuing higher from yesterday, when news that construction spending rose 1.2 percent in December, which was better than expected.
52-Week Low:
  • Trident Microsystems, Inc. (Nasdaq: TRID) low of $0.0611. Earlier, Trident said it, and a subsidiary, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. For more color, click here.

  • Eastman Kodak (NYSE: EK) low of $0.44. Kodak sinking following reports that it may have to seek Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, and may be in the process of getting papers together, should its previously announced patent portfolio sale fail to go through. The Company previously warned it would run out of cash should it not complete the sale, or get financing from outside investors. Shares moved as much as 33 percent lower following the headline from the WSJ.

  • Acme Packet, Inc. (Nasdaq: APKT) low of $25.20. Acme Packet lower after pre-announcing its fourth-quarter numbers. Acme Packet sees adjusted earnings of 26 cents to 28 cents per share, and revenue of $84 million to $86 million, versus consensus views calling for EPS of 37 cents and revs of $93.4 million. For fiscal 2011, Acme Packet lowered its earnings range from $1.14 - $1.18 to $1.03 - $1.05 and revs from $315 - $320 million to $308 - $310 million. The Street was modeling fiscal 2011 EPS of $1.14 and revs of $317.95 million.

  • Informatica Corporation (Nasdaq: INFA) low of $34.84. Informatica lower today following comments at Stifel Nicolaus that Informatica might be having trouble closing large software deals, and that it isn't an Oracle-specific problem. Shares moved as much as 6.8 percent as investors mulled the note.
