Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.82 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.84 billion. Applied Materials sees Q4 2016 EPS of $0.61-$0.69, versus the consensus of $0.48.

  • Symantec (Nasdaq: SYMC) $23.86. Citi upgraded Symantec from Neutral to Buy with a price target of $26.50.

  • Ross Stores (Nasdaq: ROST) $66.27. Ross Stores reported Q2 EPS of $0.71, versus the analyst estimate of $0.67. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.18 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.13 billion. Comps increased 4%. Ross Stores sees Q3 2016 EPS of $0.52 - $0.55, versus the consensus of $0.57. Ross Stores sees FY2016 EPS of $2.69 - $2.75, versus the consensus of $2.71.
