VeriChip Corporation (NASDAQ: CHIP) 120% HIGHER; VeriChip and its development partner RECEPTORS LLC, announced today that VeriChip has been granted an exclusive license to RECEPTORS' Patent No. 7,504,364 titled “Methods of Making Arrays and Artificial Receptors” and Patent No. 7,469,076 “Sensors Employing Combinatorial Artificial Receptors,” in their application to the development of the virus triage detection system for the H1N1 virus.

Delta Petroleum Corp. (Nasdaq: DPTR) 30.7% LOWER; Delta has perforated and tested the majority of the prospective zones in the Gray well at depths ranging from 11,580 to 12,280 feet. The six lowermost zones demonstrated high pressures as expected, but have flowed only fresh water to date. The zones located further uphole have flowed a combination of water and gas; however, the gas volumes have been minimal and substantially below pre-completion expectations deeming these intervals uneconomic.

Luna Innovations Incorporated (NASDAQ: LUNA) 26.7% HIGHER; announced after the close Friday that the Company has received a letter from The NASDAQ Stock Market indicating that because the bid price of the Company's common stock closed below the minimum $1.00 per share threshold set forth in NASDAQ Listing Rule 5550(a)(2) for the prior 30 consecutive business days, the Company has been provided 180 calendar days, or until March 15, 2010, to regain compliance with the minimum bid price requirement.

AEterna Zentaris Inc. (Nasdaq: AEZS) 19.5% HIGHER; announced the completion of a Phase 1 study of its orally-active tubulin and topoisomerase II inhibitor compound, AEZS-112, in patients with advanced solid tumors or lymphoma, which may potentially provide a new therapeutic approach for the treatment of cancer.

Nektar Therapeutics (Nasdaq: NKTR) 15.6% HIGHER; Nektar and AstraZeneca (NYSE: AZN) and entered into an exclusive worldwide license agreement for two drug development programmes: NKTR-118, a late stage investigational product being evaluated for the treatment of opioid-induced constipation, and the NKTR-119 programme, an early stage programme that is intended to deliver products for the treatment of pain without constipation side effects.

Repros Therapeutics (Nasdaq: RPRX) 11.7% LOWER; today announced that on September 15, 2009, the Company received a second letter from The Nasdaq Stock Market advising that, in addition to the deficiencies previously disclosed on August 17, 2009, the Company's market value of publicly held shares was below the minimum $15,000,000 requirement for continued listing on the Nasdaq Global Market by Listing Rule 5450(b)(2)(C) or 5450(b)(3)(C). The Company is provided 90 calendar days, or until December 14, 2009, to regain compliance, at which time the Company's securities will be delisted from such market unless the Company's market value of publicly held shares is $15,000,000 or more for a minimum of 10 consecutive business days.

Icagen, Inc. (Nasdaq: ICGN) 11.5% HIGHER; announced a one year extension to a prior worldwide collaboration and licensing agreement with Pfizer (NYSE: PFE) aimed at discovering, developing and commercializing compounds that modify three specific sodium ion channels as new potential treatments for pain and related disorders.

Pacific Ethanol, Inc. (Nasdaq: PEIX) 11% LOWER; announced on Friday after the close that on September 15, 2009, the Company received a letter from The Nasdaq Stock Market notifying the Company that it does not comply with the $1.00 minimum bid price requirement for continued listing on The NASDAQ Global Market set forth in NASDAQ Listing Rule 5450(a)(1). The Company has been provided an initial period of 180 calendar days, or until March 14, 2010, in which to regain compliance.

AltiGen Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATGN) 10.4% LOWER; announced today that it received notification, dated September 15, 2009, from the NASDAQ Stock Market, that for the 30 consecutive business days preceding the date of the notification, the closing bid price of AltiGen's common stock had been below the $1.00 minimum bid price per share required for continued listing on the NASDAQ Capital Market under NASDAQ Listing Rule 5550(a)(2).
