Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: LXRX) 106.8% HIGHER; obtained favorable results from recently completed Phase 1 studies of LX4211 and announced today that it has initiated a Phase 2 clinical trial of the drug candidate in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. LX4211 is an orally-delivered, small molecule drug candidate that inhibits the sodium glucose transporter 2 (SGLT2). LX4211 is Lexicon's fourth drug candidate currently being tested in Phase 2 clinical trials.

Amerityre Corporation (NASDAQ: AMTY) 62% HIGHER; continuing higher following yesterday's 63% surge on news of Chinese tire tariffs.

eDiets.com (Nasdaq: DIET) 61.9% HIGHER; continuing higher after jumping 54% yesterday. As we noted yesterday, a number of insiders have been buying recently.

DARA BioSciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: DARA) 33.3% HIGHER; announced that results of its KRN5500 study have been selected for presentation at the 12th International Conference on the Mechanisms and Treatment of Neuropathic Pain to be held in San Francisco, November 19-21, 2009.

BioCryst Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: BCRX) 12.7% HIGHER; announced that it has signed binding letters of intent with three partners who will exclusively represent BioCryst and its anti-viral peramivir for influenza stockpiling opportunities, as well as for marketing and distribution of peramivir for seasonal influenza upon local regulatory approval, within their territories outside the U.S.

Zoom Technologies (Nasdaq: ZOOM) 11.7% LOWER; correcting today following yesterday's 214% rocket higher. Zoom's recent acquisition target reported blow-out quarterly results yesterday.

ACCO Brands Corporation (NYSE: ABD) 11.5% HIGHER; Office Depot(R) (NYSE: ODP) today announced the availability of ACCO's Swingline(R) Optima(R) line of electric staplers at nationwide Office Depot retail locations and online.

Genesis Lease Limited (NYSE: GLS) 11.3% HIGHER; In response to unusual trading activity in its stock and marketplace rumors, Genesis said today that it is in discussions with another party concerning a possible M&A transaction.

Parallel Petroleum Corporation (NASDAQ: PLLL) 10.6% HIGHER; entered into a definitive agreement for the Company to be acquired by an affiliate of Apollo Global Management, LLC, a leading global alternative asset manager, in a transaction valued at approximately $483 million, including the assumption or repayment of approximately $351 million of net indebtedness. Under the terms of the agreement, Parallel stockholders would receive $3.15 per share in cash. Shares of Parallel Petroleum closed at $2.84 yesterday.

NetSol Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: NTWK) 9.8% LOWER; reports Q4 loss of $0.03, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.05). Revenue for the quarter was $6.9 million, which compares to the Street estimate of $6.58 million.

Glimcher Realty Trust (NYSE: GRT) 8.9% LOWER; announced significant progress in its efforts to address its liquidity position. Click here for the full report.

Arena Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ARNA) 8.9% LOWER; Rodman and Renshaw downgrades the stock from Market Outperform to Market Perform. The firm dropped its $9 price target.
