Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. (Nasdaq: QTWW) 26.8% HIGHER; today announced that it has been awarded a contract for expanded support of Lockheed Martin's Space Systems' development of ISIS (Integrated Sensor is the Structure) airship powered by a Regenerative Fuel Cell. Quantum will supply critical hydrogen metering systems in conjunction with the hydrogen and oxygen storage systems that it is currently supplying to Lockheed Martin.

Solarfun Power (Nasdaq: SOLF) 14.5% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.40, 21 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.19. Revenue for the quarter was $216.2 million, which compares to the estimate of $191.70 million. The Company has already reached its previously announced module capacity target of 700 MW. Due to anticipated demand from customers for the second half of 2010, the Company plans to further expand module capacity to 900 MW by August 30, 2010. For Q2, the company expects total module shipments to be 160MW to 170MW, of which approximately 35% will be for PV module processing services. For 2010 full year shipment, the Company is raising its guidance from 600MW to 650MW based on strong demand from customers for 2010.

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (Nasdaq: VRTX) 9.7% HIGHER; today announced that 75% of people chronically infected with genotype 1 hepatitis C virus who had not previously been treated achieved a sustained viral response (SVR or viral cure) after receiving a 12-week telaprevir-based combination regimen, followed by treatment with pegylated-interferon and ribavirin alone, in the Phase 3 ADVANCE trial. 69% of people achieved SVR after receiving an 8-week telaprevir-based combination regimen, followed by treatment with pegylated-interferon and ribavirin alone. 44% of people in the control arm achieved SVR after 48 weeks of treatment with the currently approved regimen of pegylated-interferon and ribavirin.
