Morning Movers 2/3: HDIX, BGP, APKT, TDSC, CGX, NETL Higher; XIDE, VSR, PLNR, R, CNLG Lower

Home Diagnostics, Inc. (NASDAQ: HDIX) 89.2% HIGHER; signed a definitive merger agreement with Nipro Corporation under which Nipro will acquire the company for $11.50 per share in cash, or approximately $215 million. The offer price represents an approximately 90% premium to the closing price of Home Diagnostics’ common stock on February 2, 2010.

Exide Technologies (NASDAQ: XIDE) 28.3% LOWER; reports Q3 adjusted EPS of $0.23, 7 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.16. Revenue for the quarter was $746.5 million, which compares to the estimate of $683.97 million.

Borders Group, Inc. (NYSE: BGP) 27.7% HIGHER; skyrocketing after hedge fund manger Ackman said on CNBC's Fast Money that the company has a better risk reward versus Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), which has attracted activist investors Ron Burkle.

Acme Packet, Inc. (NASDAQ: APKT) 26.7% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.14, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.10. Revenue for the quarter was $41.3 million, which compares to the estimate of $39.40 million. APKT raises FY10 revenue outlook from $166-168 million to $182-186 million vs. consensus of $168.56M. APKT raises FY10 non-GAAP EPS from $0.41-0.42 to $0.44-0.47 vs. consensus of $0.42.

3D Systems (Nasdaq: TDSC) 22.5% HIGHER; sees Q4 EPS of $0.14-$0.16, versus the consensus of $0.07, on sales that will be over $35.5 million, which compares to the Street estimate of $26.75 million.

Versar, Inc. (AMEX: VSR) 17.7% LOWER; today announced the implementation of a cost reduction plan due to unacceptable operating results in the first half of fiscal year 2010. The decline of our Iraq business and continued delays in Federal funding and severe budget shortfalls in our state and municipal segments have resulted in lower than expected revenue and profitability.

Consolidated Graphics, Inc. (NYSE: CGX) 15.4% HIGHER; reports Q4 adjusted EPS of $1.02, versus the analyst estimate of $0.46, and $a loss of $3.91 reported for Q408. The company revenue for the quarter was $296.4 million, compared to $315.82 million reported for Q408.

NetLogic Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ: NETL) 15.3% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.59, 17 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.42. Revenue for the quarter was $69.5 million, which compares to the estimate of $61.85 million. The stock was also upgraded to Outperform at Wedbush and reiterated at Overweight at Piper Jaffray.

American Technology Corp. (Nasdaq: ATCO) 14.3% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.06, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.01. Revenue for the quarter was $5.3 million, which compares to the estimate of $4.58 m

Planar Systems (NASDAQ: PLNR) 13.9% LOWER; reports a Q1 loss of $0.05, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.11). Revenue for the quarter was $43.0 million, which compares to the estimate of $40.20 million.

Zagg (Nasdaq: ZAGG) 13.7% HIGHER; the stock is continuing higher today following news yesterday that
the company will offer invisibleSHIELD pre-orders for the Apple iPad. The stock rose 19% yesterday.

Harte-Hanks (NYSE: HHS) 13.3% HIGHER; J.P. Morgan upgrades the stock from Neutral to Overweight. Price target increased from $1 to $14. The company reported Q4 earnings yesterday.

Agilysys, Inc. (NASDAQ: AGYS) 11.4% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.64, which may not compare to the analyst estimate of $0.33. Revenue for the quarter was $220.4 million, which compares to the estimate of $170 million.

Intevac, Inc. (NASDAQ: IVAC) 10.6% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.09, 7 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.02. Revenue for the quarter was $34.2 million, which compares to the estimate of $34.80 million. Order backlog totaled $73.8 million on December 31, 2009, compared to $52.2 million on September 26, 2009 and $20.2 million on December 31, 2008. Backlog at year end includes ten 200 Lean® systems, compared to five on September 26, 2009 and one on December 31, 2008.

Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: AUXL) 10.5% HIGHER; received marketing approval from the FDA for XIAFLEX, a novel, first-in-class, orphan-designated, biologic, for the treatment of adult Dupuytren's contracture patients with a palpable cord. The Company expects to begin shipping XIAFLEX to its distribution partners in early March in advance of a launch planned for late March.

Silicon Graphics International Corp (NYSE: SGI) 10.4% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.18, better than the analyst estimate of ($0.08) (only one firm). Revenue for the quarter was $94.1 million, which compares to the estimate of $125 million (only one firm). Silicon Graphics is targeting FY revenues of $500 million. The consensus is $527 million.

The Brinks Company (NYSE: BCO) 9.8% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS from continuing operations of $0.41, which may not compare to the analyst estimate of $0.49. Revenue for the quarter was $788 million, which compares to the estimate of $760.80 million.

Speedus Corp. (NASDAQ: SPDE) 9.3% HIGHER; announced today that it has engaged Morgan Joseph & Co. Inc., a full service investment bank, to evaluate strategic alternatives available to maximize shareholder value with respect to Speedus Corp's subsidiary, Zargis Medical Corp.

M/I Homes, Inc. (NYSE: MHO) 9.2% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.38, which compares to a loss of $5.38 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $204.92 million, which compares to the estimate of $169.18 million.

Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE: R) 9.1% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.41, 6 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.47. Revenue for the quarter was $1.25 billion, which compares to the estimate of $1.25 billion. Sees FY10 EPS of $1.80-$1.95, vs. the consensus of $2.11.

Conolog (Nasdaq: CNLG) 8.9% LOWER; continuing to correct today. The stock surged more than 110% on Friday of last week and Monday of this week on news of a $1.9 million order for PDR Systems. The stock sold-off 7% yesterday.

Labopharm Inc. (NASDAQ: DDSS) 8.8% HIGHER; today announced the FDA has approved OLEPTRO Extended Release Tablets, a novel once-daily formulation of the antidepressant trazodone, for the treatment of major depressive disorder in adults. OLEPTRO(TM) utilizes CONTRAMID(R), Labopharm's clinically validated technology that controls the release of active substances within oral medications.

Universal Technical Institute (NYSE: UTI) 8.6% HIGHER; Piper Jaffray upgrades the stock from Underweight to Neutral. Price target increased from $15 to $20.

Vocus Inc. (NASDAQ: VOCS) 8.5% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.15, versus the analyst estimate of $0.16. Revenue for the quarter was $22 million, which compares to the estimate of $21.85 million. Sees Q110 EPS of $0.14 - $0.15, versus $0.16 consensus. Also sees Q110 revs of $21.8 - $22 million, compared to $22.03 million consensus.

Manhattan Associates (NASDAQ: MANH) 8.4% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.31, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.27. Revenue for the quarter was $62.1 million, which compares to the estimate of $61.66 million.

Animal Health Int'l (Nasdaq: AHII) 8.2% HIGHER; Piper Jaffray upgrades the stock from Neutral to Overweight. Price target increased from $2.50 to $3.00. Click here to see full color.

Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation (NYSE: RL) 8.2% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $1.10, 9 cents better than the analyst estimate of $1.01. Revenue for the quarter was $1.2 billion, which compares to the estimate of $1.26 billion. Same store sales rose 6%.

C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc (NASDAQ: CHRW) 8.1% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.52, versus the analyst estimate of $0.56. Revenue for the quarter was $2.01 billion, which compares to the estimate of $2.01 billion. The stock was also downgraded to Hold at BB&T and to Market Perform at Wells Fargo.
