Morning Movers 12/23: (NOA) (RMBS) (RAM) (SPWR) Higher; (CAMP) (UAL) Lower

North American Energy Partners (NYSE: NOA) 21.5% HIGHER; appears to be bouncing over the 200-day SMA this morning. An analyst at Alta Corp Capital upgraded the stock from Sector Perform to Outperform earlier.

Rambus (Nasdaq: RMBS) 15.6% HIGHER; announced late Thursday it entered into a licensing deal with Broadcom Corp. (Nasdaq: BRCM) for a range of integrated circuit products. Additionally -- and certainly more up Rambus' alley -- the two companies settled outstanding litigation between them.

Calamp Corp. (NASDAQ: CAMP) 14.6% LOWER; reported Q3 adjusted EPS of $0.09, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of $0.03. Revenue for the quarter came in at $32.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $32.25 million. Calamp Corp. sees Q4 2011 EPS of $0.06-$0.10, versus the consensus of $0.04. Calamp Corp. sees Q4 2011 revenue of $34-$38 million, versus the consensus of $34.2 million.

RAM Energy (Nasdaq: RAM) 13.4% HIGHER; traders pushing the stock higher once again today following an 82 percent surge yesterday on the heels of a $550 million recapitalization yesterday.

SunPower Corp. (Nasdaq: SPWR) 9.2% HIGHER; has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Tenesol SA from Total for $165.4 million in cash. Concurrently with the closing of the acquisition, Total has agreed to purchase 18.6 million shares of SunPower common stock in a private placement at $8.80 per share, a 50 percent premium to SunPower's December 22, 2011 closing price.
