Morning Movers 12/05: (SFSF) (ATHX) (AFFY) (TLEO) Higher; (GLUU) (VISN) Lower

SuccessFactors, Inc. (NYSE: SFSF) 51.4% HIGHER; SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) announced an agreement Saturday afternoon to acquire SuccessFactors for $40.00/per share in cash, representing an enterprise value of approximately $3.4 billion.

Athersys (Nasdaq: ATHX) 37.4% HIGHER; breaking through the $2 level for the first time since early September this morning. About an hour and a half into the trading session, the stock has already traded more than 3 times its normal full-day volume.

Affymax (Nasdaq: AFFY) 19.4% HIGHER; share are rallying in pre-market trade Monday morning following news out of the FDA the company's anemia drug peginesatide works as well as Amgen's (Nasdaq: AMGN) epogen, aranesp. The FDA note comes ahead of a December 7th advisory panel review of the product

Taleo (Nasdaq: TLEO) 19.1% HIGHER; likely trading higher amid the deal for SuccessFactors. The stock was upgraded at BMO early this morning.

Frontline (NYSE: FRO) 15.1% HIGHER; stock bouncing nicely today as Oslo-based First Securities issued a note earlier suggesting traders may have closed short bets on the stock. Shares plunged from almost $6 to below $3 in November following Q3 results and news the company will not pay a quarterly dividend.

Zalicus Inc. (Nasdaq: ZLCS) 14.5% HIGHER; has initiated a Phase 1 clinical trial evaluating the pharmacokinetics and safety of a new formulation of Z160 (formerly NMED-160), a novel oral N-type calcium channel blocker. Z160 has been reformulated with multiple state-of-the-art delivery techniques to address previous solubility and bioavailability issues.

Kenexa (Nasdaq: KNXA) 14.1% HIGHER; likely seeing upside amid the deal for SuccessFactors.

Gannett (NYSE: GCI) 12.5% HIGHER; Lazard upgraded the stock from Neutral to Buy earlier, citing increased potential for a dividend raise.

Alexza Pharma (Nasdaq: ALXA) 11.8% HIGHER; holding over $1 and seems like its bouncing off the 200-day SMA.

Tenet Healthcare (NYSE: THC) 11.6% HIGHER; in a research note this morning, Goldman Sachs said a decline in hospital stocks last week was an overreaction.

Glu Mobile (Nasdaq: GLUU) 9.7% LOWER; traders are taking profits this morning following a 30 percent increase starting on Wednesday of last week.

VisionChina (Nasdaq: VISN) 9.7% LOWER; after breaking out (up 27 percent) on what seemed to be technicals on Friday, traders are taking profits this morning.
