Dynegy (NYSE: DYN) 31.5% HIGHER; confirming rumors from Monday afternoon (Dynegy shares plunged as much as 29 percent as headlines hit newswires), Dynegy announced it placed several units into bankruptcy last night. In addition, four divisions of Dynegy Holding Company petitioned to file for reorganization. Dynegy said it reached an agreement with debtholders of more than $1.4 billion in senior notes to restructure nearly $4 billion in debt.
Exide Technologies (NASDAQ: XIDE) 30.9% LOWER; reported Q2 GAAP loss of ($0.05), which may not compare with the analyst estimate of $0.11. Revenue for the quarter came in at $773 million versus the consensus estimate of $756.74 million.
McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants, Inc. (NASDAQ: MSSR) 28% HIGHER; Tilman J. Fertitta announced today that Landry's, Inc. has signed an Agreement to acquire 100% of MSSR for $8.75 a share.
Solazyme (NASDAQ: SZYM) 21.7% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of ($0.19), $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.22). Revenue for the quarter came in at $8.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $10.06 million.

(Nasdaq: AMLN) 13.9% LOWER; and Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE: LLY) entered an agreement to terminate their alliance for exenatide and resolve the outstanding litigation between the companies. As part of the agreement, the parties will transition full responsibility for the worldwide development and commercialization of exenatide to Amylin, starting in the United States (U.S.) on November 30, 2011, and progressing to all markets by the end of 2013.
