MOD-PAC Corp. (NASDAQ: MPAC) 93.5% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.29, versus the $0.00 reported in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $12.6 million, flat from Q308.

STEC, Inc. (NASDAQ: STEC) 31.5% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.50, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.47. Revenue for the quarter was $98.30 million, which compares to the estimate of $96.58 million. Sees Q4 EPS $0.51 - $0.53, versus $0.52 consensus. Also sees Q409 sales $101 - $103 million, versus $106 million. The stock was also downgraded at ThinkEquity, Deutsche Bank and Wedbush.

Ambac Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: ABK) 29.7% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $7.58, versus a loss of $8.45 last year. The third quarter 2009 results reflect significant unrealized mark-to-market gains in the credit derivatives portfolio and gains resulting from reinsurance cancellations during the quarter.

Clarient, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLRT) 24.9% LOWER; reports a Q3 loss of $0.04, 5 cents worse than the analyst estimate of $0.01. Revenue for the quarter was $21.4 million, which compares to the estimate of $25.53 million. "Taking into account these new estimates, we are now revising our revenue guidance for 2009 to $90 million to $94 million from the previous range of $96 million to $101 million. Even at the low end of the range, this will represent a year-over-year growth rate of greater than 22 percent from our 2008 revenues of $73.7 million." (Consensus is $98.46M)

GenVec Inc. (Nasdaq: GNVC) 23.7% HIGHER; the company announced that hte FDA has granted orphan drug designation to TNFerade for the treatment of pancreatic cancer.

RehabCare Group, Inc. (NYSE: RHB) 22.9% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.37, versus the analyst estimate of $0.38. Revenue for the quarter was $208 million, which compares to the estimate of $204.34 million. The stock was also upgraded at Thomas Weisel.

Bank of Ireland (NYSE: IRE) 22.5% HIGHER; shares are likely correcting today as the stock has fallen more than 25% over the last 3 trading sessions. Traders may also be buying the stock on the back of a Exane BNP upgrade of Royal Bank of Scotland (NYSE: RBS).

Pacer International (NASDAQ: PACR) 22.5% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.02, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.01).

American Capital, Ltd. (NASDAQ: ACAS) 21% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.12, even the analyst estimate of $0.12.

PMA Capital Corporation (NASDAQ: PMACA) 18.9% HIGHER; reports Q3 adjusted EPS of $0.21, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.17.

Thomas Properties Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: TPGI) 18.5% HIGHER; announced late Tuesday that is has postponed its previously announced public offering of 22 million shares of common stock due to unfavorable market conditions.

Agilysys, Inc. (NASDAQ: AGYS) 17% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.12, versus the analyst estimateof ($0.19). Revenue for the quarter was $156 million, which compares to the estimate of $125 million.

Vonage Holdings Corp. (NYSE: VG) 15.7% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of $0.33, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.05). Revenue for the quarter was $222 million, which compares to the estimate of $236.58 million.

True Religion Apparel Inc. (Nasdaq: TRLG) 14.9% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.58, 1 cents below the analyst estimate of $0.59. Revenue for the quarter was $82.4 million, which compares to the estimate of $84.62 million. True Religion sees FY revs of $295-$300 milion, versus the consensus of $303.1 million. Raises FY EPS to $1.82-$1.86, versus the consensus of $1.88.

Allied Irish Banks (NYSE: AIB) 14.8% HIGHER; could be trading higher on Exane BNP's upgrade of Royal Bank of Scotland.

WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE: WCG) 13.6% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.82, versus the analyst estimate of $0.67. Revenue for the quarter was $1.67 billion, which compares to the estimate of $1.66 billion. Sees FY09 adjusted EPS of $2.90 - $2.95, and revs of $6.80 - $6.85 billion. Consensus is $2.93 and $6.85 billion, respectively.

Tesco (NASDAQ: TESO) 13.1% HIGHER; reports Q3 loss of $0.01, 9 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.10). Revenue for the quarter was $72.90 million, which compares to the estimate of $64.89 million.

Answers Corporation (NASDAQ: ANSW) 12% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of $0.11, versus the analyst estimate of $0.07. Revenue for the quarter was $4.99 million, which compares to the estimate of $5.15 million. Sees Q4 sales of $5.45-$5.95 million, versus the consensus of $7.06 million, on operating income of $1.9-$2.35 million.

Maxwell Technologies (NASDAQ: MXWL) 11.4% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of $0.07, ex-items, 3 cents worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.04). Revenue for the quarter was $36.1 million, which compares to the estimate of $26.05 million. Piper Jaffray also downgraded the stock to Underweight.

Con-Way (NYSE: CNW) 10.9% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.39, versus the analyst estimate of $0.52. Revenue for the quarter was $1.13 billion, which compares to the estimate of $1.14 billion. The stock was also downgraded at BofA Merrill.

Charles River Laboratories International, Inc. (NYSE: CRL) 10.7% LOWER; reports Q3 adjusted EPS of $0.65, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.60. Revenue for the quarter was $297 million, which compares to the estimate of $306.95 million. Lower FY09 EPS guidance to $2.28 - $2.32, versus $2.42 consensus.

Radian Group Inc. (NYSE: RDN) 10.3% HIGHER; reports a Q3 loss of $0.86 vs. consensus for $1.32 loss. Revenues were $331.63 million vs. $257.60 million consensus.

ExpressJet Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: XJT) 8.4% LOWER; reports Q3 non-GAAP loss of $0.52, compared to a loss of $0.61 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $179.2 million, which compares to the $262.33 million reported in the same quarter last year.

Hypercom Corporation (NYSE: HYC) 8% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.08, ex-items, 7 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.01. Revenue for the quarter was $102.4 million, which compares to the estimate of $106.78 million.
