Morning Movers 10/20: MPS, TBUS, LXK, TSTC, NUS, UAUA Higher; CONN, PXLW, GAP, JRN, BSX Lower

MPS Group, Inc. (NYSE: MPS) 21.8% HIGHER; announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Adecco Group. The transaction will take place for $13.80 per common share, for a total value of approximately $1.3 billion. This represents a premium of 24% over yesterday's closing stock price and a premium of 27% and 36%, respectively, over the average closing stock price (VWAP) during the last 30 and 90 calendar days. The Board of Directors of MPS Group unanimously approved the transaction.

Pixelworks, Inc. (NASDAQ: PXLW) 20.3% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of $0.07, compared to an EPS of $0.05 in the second quarter 2008. Revenue for the quarter was $16.7 million, versus $21.5 million in Q208. Pixelworks sees Q409 non-GAAP EPS of $0.10 to $0.14, and Q409 revenues of $17 million to $19 million.

The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, Inc. (NYSE: GAP) 17.3% LOWER; reports Q2 loss of $1.18, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.71) Revenue for the quarter was $2.13 billion, which compares to the estimate of $2.1 billion. Comparable store sales down 3.6% year-over-year.

DRI Corp. (Nasdaq: TBUS) 17.1% HIGHER; announced today that the Company's Mobitec AB subsidiary in Sweden has secured an order of strategic significance from a transit system operator in Singapore.

Journal Communications Inc. (NYSE: JRN) 16.5% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.02, cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.08. Revenue for the quarter was $105.1 million, which compares to the estimate of $108.14 million. Journal's Q308 revenues were $136.3.

Lexmark (NYSE: LXK) 15.2% HIGHER; reports Q3 non-GAAP EPS of $0.65 per share, ex-items, above the consensus of $0.45. Revenues came in at $958 million, versus the consensus of $901.3 million. Revenues was down 15% from last year, but up 6% sequentially. Lexmark sees Q4 EPS of $0.50-$0.60 versus the consensus of $0.47.

Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE: BSX) 14.9% LOWER; reports Q3 adj-EPS of $0.19, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.14. Revenue for the quarter was $2.02 billion, which compares to the estimate of $2.04 billion. Sees Q4 adj-EPS of $0.17-$0.21, on sales of $2.025-$2.125 billion. The Street is currently looking for Q4 EPS and sales of $0.17. and $2.10 billion, respectively. Also downgraded at Wells Fargo.

Telestone Technologies Corporation (Nasdaq: TSTC) 14.4% HIGHER; announced today that its Wireless Fiber Distribution System (WFDS(TM)) passed all testing procedures of the U.S. FCC, including all of the existing 2G and 3G systems in the U.S.

Freddie Mac (NYSE: FRE) 12.6% LOWER; continuing lower today following a 20%+ slide yesterday on a convicted call at KBW. The firm set $0 price targets on both Freddie and Fannie (NYSE: FNM), which is down 9% today.

Nu Skin Enterprises (NYSE: NUS) 12.1% HIGHER; pre-announced record quarterly revenue and earnings in advance of its 25th Anniversary Global Convention. Revenue for Q3 grew to $334.2 million, an 8% improvement over the prior-year period. EPS are expected to be $0.39-$0.40, compared to $0.26 in the prior-year quarter and the analyst estimate of $0.34. EPS include $0.01 in planned restructuring charges related to Japan. Revenue benefited 1% for the quarter from foreign currency fluctuations. Strong revenue results around the globe coupled with improving operating margins continue to drive record results. Raises its FY09 sales guidance from $1.26-$1.27 billion to $1.29-$1.3 billion and its EPS estimate from $1.09-$1.14 to $1.25-$1.27, including estimated restructuring charges of approximately $0.13. The Street is currently looking for FY09 sales and EPS of $1.27 billion and $1.29, respectively.

Werner Enterprises (NASDAQ: WERN) 11.6% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.26, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.20. Revenue for the quarter was $429.3 million, which compares to the estimate of $427.9 million.

New Oriental Education & Technology Group (NYSE: EDU) 10.5% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $1.52, versus the analyst estimate of $1.57. Revenue for the quarter was $149.36 million, which compares to the estimate of $154.57 million. New Oriental sees Q2 net revs between $60.8 million and $62.8 million.

Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (NYSE: MI) 9.8% LOWER; reports Q3 adj-loss of $0.66, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.68). Also announced that it has commenced a public offering of $775 million of its common stock for sale to the public. The underwriters in this offering will be granted an option to purchase up to an additional 15 percent of the shares sold.

UAL Corporation (Nasdaq: UAUA) 9.6% HIGHER; reports Q3 loss of $0.43, ex-items, cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.94). Revenue for the quarter was $4.11 billion, which compares to the estimate of $4.34 billion.
