Morning Movers 10/12: ACTI, KG, DSTI, PTIE, ASTI, ESLR, ININ, MOTR, CVV, RNOW Higher; YRCWD, GPN Lower

ActivIdentity Corporation, (NASDAQ: ACTI) 42.5% HIGHER; announced Monday that it has agreed to be acquired by ASSA ABLOY AB, the parent company of HID Global for approximately $162 million. The transaction price is at $3.25 per share.

King Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NYSE: KG) 39.4% HIGHER; Pfizer Inc.(NYSE: PFE) announced Tuesday that it has acquired King for $3.6 billion in cash. According to the terms of the deal, Pfizer will pay $14.25 per share.

DayStar Technologies (Nasdaq: DSTI) 36.7% HIGHER; disclosed in a Form 8-K that it is now in compliance with NASDAQ listing requirements. Also could be seeing upside given news out of Ascent Solar.

Pain Therapeutics (Nasdaq: PTIE) 21.7% HIGHER; trading higher amid the King Pharma/Pfizer deal.

Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ASTI) 21.4% HIGHER; announced Tuesday that Votum of the Czech Republic will begin distribution of the company's thin-film CIGS modules.

Evergreen Solar (Nasdaq: ESLR) 16.7% HIGHER; likely trading higher on the back of news out of Ascent Solar.

Interactive Intelligence (Nasdaq: ININ) 13.4% HIGHER; announces the following preliminary results for Q310. Revenues are expected to be $41 - $42 million with a non-GAAP EPS of $0.35 - $0.39. Consensus was looking for revs of $37.88 million and an EPS of $0.23.

YRC Worldwide (Nasdaq: YRCWD) 11.9% LOWER; Morgan Keegan initiates coverage on YRC with an Underperform rating. PT $0.

Motricity (Nasdaq: MOTR) 11.7% HIGHER; traders are cheering a release from the company announcing its end-to-end Mobile as a Service offering, a comprehensive solution that combines the mCore Platform and solution suite, cloud-based infrastructure, managed and professional services into one integrated offering to empower every aspect of the operator's mobile data services business.

CVD Equipment Corporation (Nasdaq: CVV) 11.3% HIGHER; announced that they have won a $3.4 million order from a solar panel manufacturer to provide deposition production tools for their solar factory.

RightNow Technologies (NASDAQ: RNOW) 11% HIGHER; announced preliminary Q3 EPS of $0.14 on revenue of $48 million, which is above the consensus of $0.12 and $45.1 million, respectively. RightNow will release its final earnings results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2010 after the market close on Thursday, October 28, 2010. Separately, RightNow named Wayne Huyard President and Chief Operating Officer.

Global Payment (NYSE: GPN) 10% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.67, ex-items, 2 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.69. Revenue for the quarter was $440.1 million, which compares to the estimate of $438.55 million. Reaffirms FY11 outlook: sales of $1.74-$1.77 billion, vs. cons. of $1.76 billion, EPS of $2.68-$2.77, vs. cons. $2.72. The stock was also downgraded at Signal Hill.

Akeena Solar (Nasdaq: WEST) 9.1% HIGHER; solar sector on the move today.

Hoku Corp. (Nasdaq: HOKU) 8.7% HIGHER; the stock spiked over the $2.50 level just after this morning's open. Traders may be cheering news that the company entered into a $13 million loan pact agreement.

Rome Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq: ROME) 8.5% HIGHER; Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq: BHLB) and Rome Bancorp announced that they have entered into an agreement whereby Berkshire Hills will acquire Rome in a $74 million transaction. Under the terms of the merger agreement, 70% of the outstanding Rome shares will be exchanged for Berkshire shares at a fixed exchange ratio of 0.5658 Berkshire shares for each share of Rome. The remaining 30% of Rome shares will be exchanged for cash in the amount of $11.25 per share.
