Morning Movers 09/24: TSTR, RPC, SIFY, TIBX, KNXA, HSFT, CMTL Higher; SAY, VICL, ONTY, EDU, FINL Lower

Satyam (NYSE: SAY) 25.8% LOWER; says that it may not be able to meet the NYSE's deadline for the filing of its restated earnings.

TerreStar (Nasdaq: TSTR) 18.9% HIGHER; since announcing a deal with AT&T (NYSE: T) earlier this week, shares have surged about 98% including today's move higher. Volume remains extremely heavy.

Vical Incorporated (Nasdaq: VICL) 17.7% LOWER; is offering to sell shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering.

Oncothyreon (Nasdaq: ONTY) 17.4% LOWER; prices 4.24 million units at $3.50/unit

Radient Pharma (AMEX: RPC) 15.7% HIGHER; shares seem to be breaking out above a resistance level around $0.70. Volume has spiked sharply.

New Oriental Education and Technology Group Inc. (NYSE: EDU) 15.7% LOWER; sees Q1 revenues of $191.4-$192.9 million, versus the consensus of $195.8 million. The company sees EPS of $1.60-$1.64, versus the consensus of $1.90.

Sify Tech. (Nasdaq: SIFY) 14% HIGHER; the stock continues to receive investor interest as plays on India have been en fuego lately. The stock surged more than 20% yesterday and is holding over the $2 level today.

TIBCO Software Inc. (Nasdaq: TIBX) 11% HIGHER; announced the acquisition of OpenSpirit for an undisclosed sum. Reports Q3 EPS of $0.17, ex-items, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.15. Revenue for the quarter was $184.5 million, which compares to the estimate of $175.46 million.

Kenexa (Nasdaq: KNXA) 10.6% HIGHER; upgraded from Neutral to Overweight at Piper Jaffray this morning. The firm lifted its price target sharply from $13 to $29.

HiSoft Tech. (Nasdaq: HSFT) 10.5% HIGHER; shares surged over the $22 resistance level just after this morning's open.

Finish Line (Nasdaq: FINL) 10% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.31, 5 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.36. Revenue for the quarter was $301.1 million, which compares to the estimate of $316.00 million. Comps up 2%.

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq: CMTL) 9.5% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.43, which may not compare to the analyst estimate of $0.58. Revenue for the quarter was $257 million, which compares to the estimate of $237.53 million. Also announced the initiation of a 25c/share quarter dividend and a new $100 million buyback program.
