Standard Microsystems Corporation (NASDAQ: SMSC) 38.2% HIGHER; Microchip Technology Incorporated (NASDAQ: MCHP) and SMSC announced that Microchip has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Standard Microsystems Corporation for $37.00 per share in cash.

Charming Shoppes (Nasdaq: CHRS) 23.5% HIGHER; confirmed it will be acquired by Ascena Retail Group for $7.35 per share in cash.

Web.com Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: WWWW) 22.8% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.35, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.31. Revenue for the quarter came in at $119.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $117.16 million. Added 1,600 net new subscribers. The stock was also upgraded at Craig-Hallum earlier.

iBio (AMEX: IBIO) 21.9% HIGHER; trading higher on approval of Protalix's Elelyso. The company offers a similar platform called "iBioLaunch."

Tripadvisor (NASDAQ: TRIP) 17.4% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.38, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.34. Revenue for the quarter came in at $183.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $175.38 million.

Reachlocal, Inc. (NASDAQ: RLOC) 16.7% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.07, $0.13 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.06). Revenue for the quarter came in at $104 million versus the consensus estimate of $102.83 million. Sees Q2 2012 revenue of $108.7-$110.7 million, versus the consensus of $108.6 million. Sees FY2012 revenue of $439-$454 million, versus the consensus of $441.4 million.

STR Holdings (Nasdaq: STRI) 16.3% HIGHER; reported Q1 adj-EPS of 7 cents on sales of $31.1 million. The Street was looking for EPS of 4 cents on sales of $38.95 million. The stock was also upgraded to Buy at Craig-Hallum.

Open Table, Inc. (NASDAQ: OPEN) 16.3% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.40, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of $0.34. Revenue for the quarter came in at $39.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $39.58 million.

Protalix's (NYSE: PLX) 15.5% HIGHER; The FDA approved the company's Gaucher Disease drug Elelyso.

Sunrise Senior Living (NYSE: SRZ) 15.4% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of 3 cents, which compares to the Street estimate of 2 cents.

Papa John's Int'l (NASDAQ: PZZA) 14.5% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.69, $0.14 better than the analyst estimate of $0.55. Revenue for the quarter came in at $331.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $322.39 million. Sees FY2012 EPS of $2.40-$2.50, versus prior guidance of $2.33-$2.43 and the consensus of $2.42.

Ubiquiti Ntwrks (NASDAQ: UBNT) 14.3% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.30, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.27. Revenue for the quarter came in at $91.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $90.49 million. Ubiquiti Ntwrks sees Q4 2012 EPS of $0.28-$0.29, versus the consensus of $0.28. Ubiquiti Ntwrks sees Q4 2012 revenue of $93-$95 million, versus the consensus of $93.9 million.

CEVA, Inc. (NASDAQ: CEVA) 14% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.24, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.22. Revenue for the quarter came in at $15.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $14.86 million.

Formfactor, Inc. (NASDAQ: FORM) 13.4% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of ($0.29), $0.18 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.47). Revenue for the quarter came in at $34.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $32.15 million.

Savient Pharma (Nasdaq: SVNT) 13.2% LOWER; continuing lower following a mid-day plunge yesterday amid news the company was served with a creditor derivative action. The stock fell more than 21 percent yesterday.

Key Tronic Corp (NASDAQ: KTCC) 12.8% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.32, versus $0.07 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $95.5 million from $63.4 million last year. Key Tronic Corp sees Q4 2012 EPS of $0.31-$0.37. Key Tronic Corp sees Q4 2012 revenue of $93-$98 million.

Aspen Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: AZPN) 12.8% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.01, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.05). Revenue for the quarter came in at $61.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $59.04 million. Sees Q4 sales of $61-$63 million, which compares to the Street estimate of $62.72 million. Sees FY12 adj-loss of 6-8 cent per share, which compares to the Street estimate of a 5 cent loss per share. Sees FY12 sales of $240-$242 million, vs. the consensus estimate of $238.9 million.

EasyLink (Nasdaq: ESIC) 12.6% HIGHER; being acquired by Open Text for C$7.25/share in cash.

Keynote Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: KEYN) 12% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.21, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of $0.15. Revenue for the quarter came in at $30.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $29.92 million. Sees Q3 2012 EPS of $0.15-$0.21, versus the consensus of $0.25. Sees Q3 2012 revenue of $30-$32 million, versus the consensus of $31.84 million.

Chesapeake Energy Corp. (NYSE: CHK) 12% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.18, $0.16 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.34. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.4 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.83 billion.

Silicon Image, Inc. (NASDAQ: SIMG) 11.7% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of ($0.01), in-line with the analyst estimate of ($0.01). Revenue for the quarter came in at $55 million versus the consensus estimate of $53.3 million. Sees Q2 2012 revenue of $60-$62 million, versus the consensus of $60.05 million. Announced that its Board has authorized the repurchase of its common stock to an aggregate purchase of $50 million.

American Eagle (NYSE: AEO) 11.6% HIGHER; raises its Q1 EPS guidance from 8-10 cents to 18-20 cents, which compares to the Street estimate of 10 cents. Sees FY12 EPS of $1.06-$1.12, which compares to the Street estimate of $1.07.

Diana Containerships (NASDAQ: DCIX) 11.4% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.08, $0.04 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.12. Revenue for the quarter came in at $12.45 million versus the consensus estimate of $13.53 million.

Ascena Retail Group (Nasdaq: ASNA) 10.4% HIGHER; traders cheering the purchase of Charming Shoppes today.

Plantronics, Inc. (NYSE: PLT) 10.3% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.62, $0.03 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.65. Revenue for the quarter came in at $177.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $178.1 million.

Cavium Networks (Nasdaq: CAVM) 10.1% LOWER; reported Q1 adj-EPS of 2 cents on sales of $52.7 million. The Street was expecting EPS of 6 cents on sales of $56.7 million. On its Q1 conference call, a Cavium Networks (Nasdaq: CAVM) exec has said the company is looking for Q2 EPS of 1-3 cents on sales of $54-$56 million. The Street is currently expecting Q2 EPS of 6 cents on sales of $56.6 million.
