Aware, Inc. (Nasdaq: AWRE) 69.9% HIGHER; has signed an agreement for the sale of selected patents and patent applications to Intel Corporation (Nasdaq: INTC) for approximately $75 million, subject to customary closing conditions and any required regulatory approvals. The company also declared a special dividend of $1.15 per share. Lastly, Aware reported Q1 EPS of $0.05, versus $0.03 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.7 million, versus $6.4 million reported last year.

Maxwell Technologies (NASDAQ: MXWL) 42.9% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.02, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.02. Revenue for the quarter came in at $39.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $40.37 million.

Allscripts-misys (NASDAQ: MDRX) 42.6% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.12, $0.12 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.24. Revenue for the quarter came in at $364.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $387.82 million. Allscripts-misys sees FY2012 EPS of $0.74-$0.80, versus prior guidance of $1.06-$1.10 and the consensus of $1.09. Allscripts also announced that Bill Davis, Chief Financial Officer, has decided to leave the Company, effective May 18, 2012, to pursue another opportunity with a private company outside of the healthcare industry. The Company also announced that Phil Pead's service as Chairman of the Board, director and officer of the Company terminated yesterday.

Expedia (NASDAQ: EXPE) 27.7% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.26, $0.11 better than the analyst estimate of $0.15. Revenue for the quarter came in at $816.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $791.46 million.

Deckers Outdoor Corp (NASDAQ: DECK) 25.4% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.20, $0.05 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.25. Revenue for the quarter came in at $246.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $246.48 million. Deckers Outdoor Corp sees Q2 2012 EPS of $-0.60, versus the consensus of $-0.39. Sees Q2 revs up 8%.

Telecommunication Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: TSYS) 23% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.06, $0.01 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.07. Revenue for the quarter came in at $100 million versus the consensus estimate of $104.16 million.

TESSCO (Nasdaq: TESS) 21.4% LOWER; sees FY12 EPS of about $2.03, inline with the Street, on sales of $733 million, which compares to the analyst estimate of $721.8 million. Sees FY13 EPS of $1.80-$2.15, vs. the consensus estimate of $2.24.

Cray, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRAY) 20.2% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.13, $0.10 better than the analyst estimate of $0.03. Revenue for the quarter came in at $112.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $99 million.

POZEN Inc. (Nasdaq: POZN) 20.2% LOWER; During a pre-submission meeting with respect to its NDA for PA32540, which contains 325 mg of enteric coated aspirin and 40 mg of omeprazole in a single tablet, the United States Food & Drug Administration suggested that POZEN Inc. also seek approval for a lower dose formulation of the product containing 81 mg of enteric coated aspirin as part of its NDA for PA32540. Absent the availability of such a lower dose formulation in the market if PA32540 is approved, the FDA indicated that it may limit the indication for PA32540 to use in post coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) with a treatment duration not to exceed one year. The Company believes that the FDA is concerned that, without a formulation containing a lower dose of aspirin, physicians will not have a full range of dosing options available to prescribe in accordance with current cardiovascular treatment guidelines, which recommend doses of 81 mgs or 162 mgs of aspirin for most indications.

Silicon Motion Tech (NASDAQ: SIMO) 17.5% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.41, $0.08 better than the analyst estimate of $0.33. Revenue for the quarter came in at $64 million versus the consensus estimate of $61.17 million.

InterMune, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITMN) 17% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of ($0.74), $0.05 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.69). Revenue for the quarter came in at $8.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $10.77 million.

Digi International, Inc. (NASDAQ: DGII) 16.3% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.08, $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.10. Revenue for the quarter came in at $49 million versus the consensus estimate of $52.7 million. Digi International, Inc. sees Q3 2012 EPS of $0.03-$0.10, versus the consensus of $0.07. Digi International, Inc. sees Q3 2012 revenue of $46-$51 million, versus the consensus of $34.5 million. Digi International, Inc. sees FY2012 EPS of $0.26-$0.38, versus the consensus of $0.30. Vimicro International Corporation (NASDAQ: VIMC) 15.9% HIGHER; today announced the signing of a strategic cooperative agreement with Tianjin Samsung Techwin Opto-Electronic Co., Ltd. outlining broad-based cooperation in the areas of technology, products, and business development. Through this strategic partnership, Vimicro and Samsung will engage in comprehensive cooperation, collaborating both domestically and internationally on technology, products, and business practices, as well as jointly developing products for the China security surveillance market.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc (Nasdaq: JAZZ) 15.6% HIGHER; signed a definitive agreement to acquire EUSA Pharma, a privately-held, specialty pharmaceutical company with headquarters in the United States and United Kingdom, for $650 million in cash(1) and a potential $50 million milestone payable in cash based upon its lead product, Erwina (asparaginase Erwinia chrysanthemi), achieving a specified U.S. net sales target in 2013.

Callaway Golf Co. (NYSE: ELY) 14.8% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.18, $0.04 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.22. Revenue for the quarter came in at $285.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $310.39 million. Suspend FY12 outlook.

China Nepstar Chain Drugstore Ltd. (NYSE: NPD) 14.1% HIGHER; declared a special dividend of $0.60 per share. The dividend will be payable on June 7, 2012, to stockholders of record on May 7, 2012, with an ex-dividend date of April 27, 2012.

Applied Micro Circuits (NASDAQ: AMCC) 13.2% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of ($0.10), $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.12). Revenue for the quarter came in at $48.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $48.92 million.

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) 12.8% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.28, $0.21 better than the analyst estimate of $0.07. Revenue for the quarter came in at $13.2 billion versus the consensus estimate of $12.9 billion. Sees Q2 sales of $11.90-$13.3 billion, versus the consensus of $12.82 billion. Sees operating loss of $260 to operating profit of $40 million.

Arena Pharma (Nasdaq: ARNA) 12.6% HIGHER; shares catching a bid ahead of a May 10th FDA Endorinologic and Metabolic Drugs Advisory Committee meeting to discuss the lorcaserin NDA resubmission. Volume is very heavy today. Shares have pushed over the $2.20 and $2.30 levels but seems to be sticking near the $2.40 level.

Western Digital Corp. (NYSE: WDC) 12.5% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $2.52, $0.99 better than the analyst estimate of $1.53. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.04 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.38 billion.

Newpark Resources, Inc. (NYSE: NR) 10.9% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.16, $0.04 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.20. Revenue for the quarter came in at $262.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $265.68 million.

Sonus Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: SONS) 10.8% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of ($0.02), $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.03). Revenue for the quarter came in at $64.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $58.33 million. Sonus Networks, Inc. reaffirmed FY2012 guidance. Sonus Networks, Inc. sees Q2 2012 EPS of $-0.03, versus the consensus of $-0.02. Sonus Networks, Inc. sees Q2 2012 revenue of $57-$59 million, versus the consensus of $63.9 million.

Nanometrics, Inc. (NASDAQ: NANO) 10.5% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.12, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.12. Revenue for the quarter came in at $55.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $53.77 million. Sees Q2 2012 EPS of $0.05-$0.09, versus the consensus of $0.22.

Brightpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ: CELL) 10.1% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.16, $0.05 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.21. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.37 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.29 billion.

Houston American Energy (AMEX: HUSA) 10% HIGHER; continuing to rebound following a rough several trading days to end last week's session. After decline more than 73 percent from April 18th to April 24th, the stock rose 10 percent on Wednesday and another 35 percent on Thursday. The stock is over the $2.50 level today.
