Fonar Corp. (NASDAQ: FONR) 62.9% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.24, versus ($0.26) last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $8.02 million, versus $8.21 million last year.

Delcath Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: DCTH) 28.9% LOWER; the company received a refusal to file letter from the FDA for its proprietary chemosaturation system used in the treatment of patients with metastatic melanoma in the liver through the percutaneous intra-arterial administration of melphalan hydrochloride.

Transition Therapeutics (Nasdaq: TTHI) 28.3% HIGHER; shares are surging today as the stock has pushed over a resistance level at $4. The stock has already traded nearly 350,000 shares, which compares to the average daily volume of just 69,000 shares.

Daktronics Inc. (NASDAQ: DAKT) 23.4% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.04, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.03. Revenue for the quarter came in at $99.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $101 million.

SIGA Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: SIGA) 22.1% HIGHER; announced Monday that the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority has advised that it is seeking to acquire 1.7 million courses of a smallpox antiviral.

Allied Motion Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: AMOT) 19.7% LOWER; reported Q4 adjusted EPS of $0.14, versus $0.04 last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $21.14 million, versus $17.03 million last year.

Zoran Corp. (Nasdaq: ZRAN) 17.4% HIGHER; agreed to be acquired by CSR plc (OTC: CSRXF) in a deal worth approximately $679 million. Zoran shareholders will receive 1.85 American Depositary Shares of CSR for each share they hold. The stock was also upgraded at Wedbush this morning.

Camtek Ltd. (NASDAQ: CAMT) 15.1% LOWER; reported Q4 adjusted EPS of $0.07, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.07. Revenue for the quarter came in at $25.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $24 million. Sees flat Q1 revs.

Checkpoint Systems (NYSE: CKP) 12.6% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.19, which does not compare to the analyst estimate of $0.40. Revenue for the quarter came in at $235.54 million versus the consensus estimate of $238.6 million.

Mentor Graphics (Nasdaq: MENT) 11% HIGHER; activist investor Carl Icahn, in a 13D filing with the SEC, disclosed that he offered to buy the company for $17 per share in cash.

Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories, Ltd. (AMEX: CPD) 10% HIGHER; has entered into a merger agreement with Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, Sun Pharma Global, Inc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sun Pharma organized under the laws of the British Virgin Islands (Sun Global) and a newly-formed, indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Sun Pharma incorporated in Michigan. Under the agreement, Caraco shareholders will receive $5.25 per share in cash.

NxStage Medical, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXTM) 9.2% LOWER; releases the following interim results from its ongoing FREEDOM study which show an increase in overall quality of life benefits, significant improvement in overall sleep quality and a marked improvement in Restless Legs Syndrome symptoms experienced by patients after 12 months of daily home hemodialysis with the NxStage System One.

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS) 8.8% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $1.00, $0.13 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.13. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.33 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.38 billion. Suspending its dividend.

Clinical Data, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLDA) 8.7% LOWER; Forest Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: FRX) and Clinical Data today announced that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement pursuant to which Forest will acquire Clinical Data for $30.00 per share in cash plus contingent consideration of up to $6.00 per share that may be paid upon achievement of certain commercial milestones related to Viibryd™.

Sina Corp. (Nasdaq: SINA) 8.7% LOWER; Deutsche Bank downgraded SINA Corporation from Hold to Sell. PT $58.
