Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTIC) 27% HIGHER; reports that Pixuvri (pixantrone dimaleate) has been granted a positive opinion for conditional approval from the EMC CHMP. Based on the CHMP's recommendation, CTI expects that a conditional marketing authorization for Pixuvri should be granted by the European Commission within the next few months. CHMP recommended Pixuvri for conditional approval as monotherapy for the treatment of adult patients with multiple relapsed or refractory aggressive non-Hodgkin B-cell lymphomas.

Sunpower (NASDAQ: SPWR) 25.5% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.16, $0.21 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.05). Revenue for the quarter came in at $563.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $669.03 million. Sees Q1 2012 EPS of $-0.05-$-0.20, versus the consensus of $-0.11. Sees Q1 2012 revenue of $500-$575 million, versus the consensus of $610 million. Sees FY2012 revenue of $2.6-$3.0 billion, versus the consensus of $2.72 billion.

FreightCar America, Inc. (NASDAQ: RAIL) 24.5% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.71, $0.58 better than the analyst estimate of $0.13. Revenue for the quarter came in at $187.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $126.83 million.

Achillion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACHN) 20% HIGHER; a major setback for Gilead Sciences (Nasdaq: GILD) Hep C treatment '7977 was announced this morning.

ArthroCare (Nasdaq: ARTC) 18.4% LOWER; the company disclosed it received a civil investigation demand from the Department of Justice on February 8th. The probe is related to the False Claims Act.

RealPage, Inc. (NASDAQ: RP) 15.4% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.10, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.10. Revenue for the quarter came in at $71.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $73.99 million. Sees Q1 2012 EPS of $0.46-$0.49, versus the consensus of $0.49. Sees Q1 2012 revenue of $320-$330 million, versus the consensus of $329.2 million. Sees Q1 2012 EPS of $0.10, versus the consensus of $0.11. Sees Q1 2012 revenue of $73-$74 million, versus the consensus of $76.8 million.

Gilead Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: GILD) 14.9% LOWER; the company said a majority of hepatitis C genotype 1 patients with a prior "null" response to an interferon (IFN)-containing regimen enrolled in the ongoing ELECTRON study experienced viral relapse within four weeks of completing 12 weeks of treatment with GS-7977 plus ribavirin (RBV).

Canadian Solar (Nasdaq: CSIQ) 14% HIGHER; solar sector is extremely hot today following strong results from SunPower, bullish guidance from Suntech, and positive comments on First Solar from a Collins Stewart analyst.

Suntech (NYSE: STP) 14% HIGHER; reported Q4 prelim. sales $610-$630M, vs cons. $554M, sees shipments down ~10% from Q3, better than prior estimate of down 20%. Click here to see the full report.

Demand Media (NYSE: DMD) 12.5% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.08, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.07. Revenue for the quarter came in at $84.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $81.95 million. Sees Q1 2012 EPS of $0.05-$0.06, versus the consensus of $0.06. Sees Q1 2012 revenue of $81.5-$83.5 million, versus the consensus of $83.62 million. Sees FY2012 EPS of $0.30-$0.32, versus the consensus of $0.31. Sees FY2012 revenue of $351-$358 million, versus the consensus of $362 million.

Ramtron International Corp (NASDAQ: RMTR) 12.4% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.00, versus $0.04 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $17 million versus the consensus estimate of $22 million. Sees FY2012 EPS of $0.03. Ramtron International Corp sees FY2012 revenue of $70 million.

EMCORE (Nasdaq: EMKR) 12.1% LOWER; declining on the day following its 4:1 reverse stock split yesterday.

Kona Grill (Nasdaq: KONA) 12.1% LOWER; the company's COO Larry Ryback announced his departure. The exec moved to PF Changs (Nasdaq: PFCB).

K-swiss, Inc. (NASDAQ: KSWS) 11.8% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of ($0.71), $0.29 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.42). Revenue for the quarter came in at $50.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $41.45 million.

Local.com (NASDAQ: LOCM) 11.5% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.02, versus ($0.05) reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $25.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $26.4 million. Sees Q1 2012 revenue of $25 million. Sees FY2012 EPS of $0.05. Sees FY2012 revenue of $110 million.

Daqo New Energy (NYSE: DQ) 11.4% HIGHER; bouncing over the $3.50 level today as the solar sector is on fire.

Allied Motion Technologies (Nasdaq: AMOT) 11.2% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of 32 cents on sales of $28 million.

Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN) 9.2% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.16, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.15. Revenue for the quarter came in at $126.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $125.19 million. On its Q2 conference call, said it expects to report Q3 adj-EPS of about 16 cents on sales of $130-$132 million. The Street is currently looking for Q3 EPS of 16 cents on sales of $131.16 million.

First Solar (Nasdaq: FSLR) 9% HIGHER; related to the Antelope Valley Solar Ranch project, an analyst at Collins Stewart commented, "We believe that FSLR was issued a permit for some specific activity (possibly a grading) based on plans submitted to the county. It then sought to revise those plans, resulting in a review period for the new plans.
