Morning Movers 02/09: XETA, WWWW, PRCP, PLAB, DSW, SNTA, RVI, ATML, BGC Higher; SMSI, SWIR, WHRT, NVTL, USNA Lower

XETA Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: XETA) 41.2% HIGHER; PAETEC Holding Corp. (Nasdaq: PAET) today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire XETA for $5.50 per share in cash, or total consideration of about $61 million.

Smith Micro Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMSI) 36.3% LOWER; sees Q1 revenues of $15-$20 million, well below the consensus of $35.22 million. The company also suspended its full-year 2011 revenue guidance. The Company has become aware that orders in the first quarter for our core connection manager product, primarily from a key customer, will fall below expected levels.

Sierra Wireless Inc. (NASDAQ: SWIR) 24.9% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.16, $0.07 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.23. Revenue for the quarter came in at $167.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $174.12 million. Sierra Wireless Inc. sees Q1 EPS of $-0.06-$0.00, versus the consensus of $0.15. Sees sales of $140-$145 million, vs. the consensus of $167.92 million.

Web.com Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: WWWW) 22.1% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.24, $0.07 better than the analyst estimate of $0.17. Revenue for the quarter came in at $37.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $41.6 million.

Perceptron, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRCP) 19.6% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.11, $0.13 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.02). Revenue for the quarter came in at $16.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $13.51 million.

WorldHeart (Nasdaq: WHRT) 17.2% LOWER; pauses pending enrollment in the levacor(R) VAD bridge-to-transplant study.

Novatel Wireless (Nasdaq: NVTL) 14.9% LOWER; down amid concerning earnings at both Sierra Wireless and Smith Micro.

Photronics, Inc. (NASDAQ: PLAB) 14.6% HIGHER; sees first quarter sales of $119 to $120 million compared with the previously guided range of $107 to $111 million (cons $109.1M), and earnings per diluted share to be in a range of $0.17 to $0.19 compared with previous guidance of between $0.10 and $0.14 (cons $0.11)

DSW Inc. (NYSE: DSW) 13.9% HIGHER; and Retail Ventures, Inc. announced that they have signed a definitive merger agreement whereby Retail Ventures will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of DSW in a tax-free exchange of shares at an exchange ratio of 0.435 DSW shares per each RVI share. DSW will effectively retire the 27.4 million class B shares currently owned by RVI (approximately 62% of DSW's fully diluted shares outstanding). As a result of the merger, the separate corporate existence of RVI will cease and the surviving entity will continue as a wholly owned subsidiary of DSW. Reports Q4 comps rose 14.9%. Raises its FY11 EPS guidance from $2.30-$2.40 to $2.38-$2.42.

Synta Pharmaceuticals Corp. (Nasdaq: SNTA) 12.4% HIGHER; late last night announced that they have treated the first patient in a Phase 1 single agent trial of elesclomol in acute myeloid leukemia. This morning, the company announced that it and Roche extended a research pact on release-activated calcium modulator channels, aimed at treating inflammatory diseases.

Retail Ventures (NYSE: RVI) 12.4% HIGHER; see DSW.

USANA Health Sciences Inc. (NASDAQ: USNA) 12.1% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.75, $0.09 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.84. Revenue for the quarter came in at $137.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $136.92 million. Sees FY2011 EPS of $2.85-$2.95, versus the consensus of $3.36. Sees FY2011 revenue of $530-$550 million, versus the consensus of $577 million.

Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) 11.8% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $1.54, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of $1.48. Revenue for the quarter came in at $4.01 billion versus the consensus estimate of $4.16 billion. CSC lowers FY11 EPS from $5.35 - $5.45 to $5.20, versus the consensus of $5.39. CSC lowers FY11 revenue from $16.5 - $17 billion to $16.2 billion, versus the consensus of $16.56 billion.

Atmel Corporation (NASDAQ: ATML) 11.3% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.25, $0.09 better than the analyst estimate of $0.16. Revenue for the quarter came in at $458 million versus the consensus estimate of $436.22 million.

General Cable Corp. (NYSE: BGC) 10.9% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.66, $0.19 better than the analyst estimate of $0.47. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.36 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.32 billion. Sees Q1 2011 EPS of $0.45-$0.55, versus the consensus of $0.48. General Cable Corp. sees Q1 2011 revenue of $1.40-$1.45 billion, versus the consensus of $1.31 billion.

The Andersons, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANDE) 10.1% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $1.39, $0.52 better than the analyst estimate of $0.87. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.15 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.05 billion.

Beacon Roofing Supply Inc. (NASDAQ: BECN) 10% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.22, $0.07 better than the analyst estimate of $0.15. Revenue for the quarter came in at $404.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $386.95 million.

Allied Healthcare International Inc. (NASDAQ: AHCI) 8.9% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.04, $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.06. Revenue for the quarter came in at $71.43 million versus the consensus estimate of $69.6 million.
