Deluxe (DLX) Tops Q3 EPS by 6c; Guides Revs a Little Light of Street Views

Deluxe Corp. (NYSE: DLX) reports Q3 EPS of $0.60, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.54. Revenue for the quarter was $332.3 million, which compares to the estimate of $335.9 million.

"Although challenges in the economy persist and bank failures continue, we delivered another solid quarter meeting all our financial commitments," said Lee Schram, CEO of Deluxe. "We made good progress integrating our recent acquisitions and advancing our transformation during the quarter and we took another hard look at our cost structure. As a result, we now have plans in place to achieve an additional $25 million of cost reductions over the balance of 2009 and 2010."

Sees Q4 revenues of $326 and $341 million and adjusted EPS of $0.54-$0.64, versus the consensus of $346 million and $0.62.

Sees full year revenue of $1.330 and $1.345 billion and adjusted EPS of $2.27-$2.37, versus the consensus of $1.35 billion and $2.28.
