Armstrong World Industries Announces Management Change

LANCASTER, Pa., Nov. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Armstrong World Industries, Inc. (NYSE: AWI) today announced that F. Nicholas Grasberger, executive vice president -- Armstrong Building Products (ABP), will be leaving the Company after a very productive five-year period. "During his tenure, Nick was instrumental in the Company's emergence from bankruptcy, including leading the Company's recapitalization. He also played a leadership role through the Company's twelve-month review of strategic alternatives," said Chairman and CEO Michael D. Lockhart. "We have benefited from his leadership and wish him continued success."

Effective immediately, David Cookson, senior vice president -- ABP Go-to-Market, will provide interim leadership for ABP Americas. Mike Connors will coordinate the global activities of ABP. Mr. Lockhart noted, "Dave and Mike have extensive knowledge of the world-wide ceilings business. That experience plus Dave's well-established customer relationships will serve us well in the weeks ahead."
