ArvinMeritor, Inc. (NYSE: ARM) has been selected by Armor Holdings (NYSE: AH) to supply 1,170 vehicle sets of front and rear drive axles with brakes, drivelines, antilock braking systems and transfer cases, for the new generation of armored personnel carriers for the U.S. military -- the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle (Category II).
ArvinMeritor will provide its new front drive steer axle, the RF 19-611 with hydraulic braking technology; the RT 40-611 rear drive tandem axle; and the T-218 integral transfer case.
