Asterias Biotherapeutics (NYSE: AST) +9.1%; reported Q2 EPS of ($0.12), $0.07 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.19). Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.53 million versus the consensus estimate of $1.14 million.
Pinnacle Entertainment (NASDAQ: PNK) +4.8%; announced today that its Board of Directors has authorized a new $50 million stock repurchase program. The Company intends to fund any share repurchases under the new program without increasing its debt leverage profile.
Aratana Therapeutics (NASDAQ: PETX) +4.1%; today announced the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) approved NOCITA® (bupivacaine liposome injectable suspension) as a local post-operative analgesia for cranial cruciate ligament surgery in dogs. Aratana anticipates Nocita will be commercially available to veterinarians in the fall of 2016.

Hain Celestial (NASDAQ: HAIN) -22%: announced today that it will delay the release of its fourth quarter and fiscal year 2016 financial results.
Vertex Pharma (NASDAQ: VRTX) -3.2%; Vertex plans to stop the study of VX-661 and ivacaftor in people with one copy of the F508del mutation and one copy of a mutation that results in minimal CFTR protein function (F508del het/min).
Shopify (NYSE: SHOP) -3%; A total of 7,500,000 Class A subordinate voting shares will be offered for sale under the Offering, which will be conducted through a syndicate of underwriters.
Golub Capital BDC (NASDAQ: GBDC) -2.7%: announced that it plans to make a public offering of 1,750,000 shares of its common stock. Wells Fargo Securities (the "underwriter") is acting as the sole book-running manager for the offering.
Univar (NYSE: UNVR) -2.5%; announced today the sale of 20,943,741 shares of Univar's common stock (representing approximately 15.2% of its issued and outstanding shares) by certain of its existing stockholders (the "Selling Stockholders"), including Univar N.V. and GSO COF Facility LLC, to Goldman, Sachs & Co., as the sole underwriter in the registered public offering of those shares.
Concho Resources (NYSE: CXO) -1.8%; today announced it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire approximately 40,000 net acres in the core of the Midland Basin from Reliance Energy, a privately held, Midland-based energy company, for $1.625 billion.
Spark Therapeutics (NASDAQ: ONCE) -1%; Holder offers 1 million share block.
PG&E Corp. (NYSE: PCG) -0.8%: announced that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of 4,900,000 shares of its common stock. PG&E Corporation expects to contribute all of the net proceeds from the offering to its regulated utility subsidiary, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, which will use such proceeds for general corporate purposes.
