After-Hours Movers 9/30: 51job (JOBS) Up on $25M Buyback, Diebold (DBD) Raises Guidance, Xyratex (XRTX) Falls on Earnings, Guidance
51job, Inc. (Nasdaq: JOBS) 4.2% HIGHER; today announced that its Board has authorized a $25 million buyback of outstanding ADSs. The share repurchase program will be funded with available working capital.
Xyratex Ltd (Nasdaq: XRTX) 3.9% LOWER; reports Q3 non-GAAP EPS of $0.36, 2 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.38. Revenues for the quarter were $280.8 million, versus the consensus of $285.21 million. Sees Q4 EPS of $0.32-$0.44, versus the consensus of $0.49 and revs of $287-$307 million, versus the Street estimate of $316.2 million.
Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE: DBD) 3.1% HIGHER; now sees 2008 EPS non-GAAP between $2.40-2.45 versus prior guidance of $2.25-$2.30. (Consensus is $2.30)
AIG (NYSE: AIG) 3% HIGHER; after climbing 33% during the trading session, AIG is continuing higher in after-hours.
Landec (Nasdaq: LNDC) 1.5% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.11, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.10. Revenues for the quarter were $71.8 million, versus the consensus of $66.78 million.
Approach Resources Inc. (Nasdaq: AREX) INDICATED LOWER; lowers its annual production growth forecast for 2008 to 51-60%, or 8,000-8,500 MMcfe, over 2007 production of 5,305 MMcfe. The company said the slower growth was due to production shut-in's caused by Hurricane Ike.
