Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: NBIX) 9.4% HIGHER; announced that the Company has entered into a Committed Equity Financing Facility with Kingsbridge Capital Limited, a private investment group. Under the terms of the agreement, Kingsbridge has committed to provide up to $75 million of capital during the next three years, at Neurocrine's discretion, through the purchase of newly-issued shares of Neurocrine common stock.
Aehr Test Systems (Nasdaq: AEHR) 8% HIGHER; has received a follow-on order of more than $1 million for its FOX-15 wafer-level burn-in and test system from Micronas, a leading supplier of automotive and industrial integrated circuits. Aehr Test expects to ship the system by the end of calendar 2009. As usage of electronics in automobiles grows, high-density packaging holding multiple die becomes increasingly important. With multi-die packaging, each of the die in the package must be highly reliable, enabling the multi-die package to meet the stringent reliability demands of the automotive manufacturers.
NetScout Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: NTCT) 5.9% HIGHER; will replace Bankrate Inc. (NASDAQ: RATE) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Wednesday, September 23.
Adobe (Nasdaq: ADBE) 3.9% LOWER; announced that it will purchase Omniture. Also reported Q2 EPS of $0.35, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.34. Revenue for the quarter was $697.5 million, which compares to the Street estimate of $686.16 million. Adobe Systems sees Q4 $0.33-$0.39, versus the consensus of $0.37. Adobe sees Q3 revenues of $690-$740 million, versus the consensus of $719.2 million.
Rambus (Nasdaq: RMBS) 3.1% HIGHER; raises its Q3 sales guidance from $22-$25 million to $27-$28 million, versus the consensus of $22.59 million. Adj-operating expenses for the quarter move from $44-$49 million to $41-$44 million.
China Green Agriculture, Inc. (Amex: CGA) 2% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.24, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.19. Revenue for the quarter was $10.5 million, which compares to the Street estimate of $9.35 million. Sees Q1 EPS of $0.19-$0.21 on sales of $10.5-$11.2 million. The Street is currently looking for Q1 EPS and sales of $0.21 and $12 million, respectively. Sees F10 EPS of at least $0.83, which compares to the consensus of $0.83. Sales for the year are expected to be $49.87 million.
Garmin (Nasdaq: GRMN) 1.9% HIGHER; Deutsche Bank upgrades the stock to Hold. Price target increased from $15 to $33. Click here for more color.
