COMARCO (Nasdaq: CMRO) 32% HIGHER; reports Q2 loss of $0.09, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.27). Revenue for the quarter was $7.6 million, versus the consensus of $2.68 million.
Finisar (Nasdaq: FNSR) 11% LOWER; reports breakeven Q1 earnings, ex-items, inline with the analyst estimate of $0.00. Revenue for the quarter was $135.5 million, versus the consensus of $129.18 million.
MarineMax, Inc. (NYSE: HZO) 6.3% LOWER; has commenced a public offering of 2,600,000 shares of its common stock pursuant to MarineMax's effective shelf registration statement filed with the U.S. SEC. Raymond James & Associates, Inc. will serve as the sole underwriter for this offering. The underwriter also will have the option to purchase up to an additional 390,000 shares of common stock from MarineMax at the public offering price, less underwriting discounts and commissions, within 30 days. The net proceeds of the offering will be used for general corporate purposes, which may include debt reduction.
U.S. Global Investors, Inc. (NASDAQ: GROW) 5.6% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.06, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.04. Revenue for the quarter was $6.47 million, versus the consensus of $5.32 million.
Retail Ventures, Inc. (NYSE: RVI) 4.8% HIGHER; reports Q2 adj-EPS of $0.03, compared to $0.11 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $369.5 million, versus $357.18 million in Q208.
Steel Dynamics (Nasdaq: STLD) 2% HIGHER; raises its Q3 EPS guidance from $0.10-$0.20 to $0.20-$0.25, versus the consensus of $0.17. The company also said that the Q4 outlook looks "uncertain".
Peerless Systems Corporation (Nasdaq: PRLS) 1.8% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.12, compared to a loss of $0.03 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $2.1 million, versus $3.3 million in Q209.
Covidien (NYSE: COV) 1.4% HIGHER; held a meeting for the investment community today where it highlighted the strengths, strategies and innovations that are expected to drive the Company's growth in 2010 and beyond.
