Medis Technologies (Nasdaq: MDTL) 16.6% LOWER; today announced that, subsequent to its notification by Nasdaq that Nasdaq considers Medis to be out of compliance with various Nasdaq requirements including the maintenance of certain levels of net worth, Medis' common stock will be delisted from the Nasdaq Global Market effective at the open of business tomorrow and is expected to be quoted on the Pink Sheets beginning at the opening of the market tomorrow. The ticker symbol will remain the same: MDTL.
Adolor Corporation (NASDAQ: ADLR) 18% HIGHER; and GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE: GSK) today announced that an economic analysis of Phase 3 clinical trial data reported that the use of ENTEREG after bowel resection surgery decreased the amount of time patients spent in the hospital by one day, resulting in lower estimated hospital costs compared with placebo. The results, published in the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy, were based on a post-hoc pharmacoeconomic analysis of pooled data consisting of 1,409 patients who participated in four randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, Phase 3 efficacy studies of ENTEREG conducted in North America.
Mentor Graphics (Nasdaq: MENT) 11% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.02, cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.10). Revenue for the quarter was $182.6 million, versus the consensus of $165.77 million. Sees Q3 sales of about $183M versus $179.6 million consensus. Sees Q3 adjusted EPS of about $0.01 versus a loss of 2c.
ZYGO (Nasdaq: ZIGO) 11% LOWER; reports Q4 loss of $0.33 adjusted versus the analyst estimate of ($0.17). Revenue for the quarter was $24.2 million, versus the consensus of $46.20 million. Merger termination hurt EPS by $2.48.
Hibbett Sports Inc. (Nasdaq: HIBB) 9.6% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.04, 6 cents worse than the analyst estimate of $0.10. Revenue for the quarter was $123.1 million, versus the consensus of $124.99 million. Q2 comps fell 3.6%. Hibbett Sports sees FY10 comps down 4%-unchanged. Sees FY EPS of $0.85-$0.90, versus prior guidance of $1.03-$1.17 and the consensus of $1.11.
Salesforce.com, Inc. (NYSE: CRM) 9.2% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.17, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.15. Revenue for the quarter was $316.1 million, versus the consensus of $312.54 million. Sees Q3 revs $323M to $324M versus $318.4M consensus. Sees Q3 EPS 15c to 16c versus 15 cents consensus. Raises FY10 revs to $1.27B to $1.28B versus $1.26B from $1.25B to $1.27. Raises FY10 GAAP to EPS $0.60 to $0.61 versus $0.60 from $0.59 to $0.60.
Nordson (Nasdaq: NDSN) 9.2% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.71 ex-items, 21 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.50. Revenue for the quarter was $206 million, versus the consensus of $204.81 million. Sees Q4 revs $224M-$235 versus $224.6M consensus. Sees Q4 EPS 78c to 87c versus 57c consensus.
Jamba Juice (Nasdaq: JMBA) 9.1% LOWER; reports Q2 loss of $0.10, versus the analyst estimate of $0.03. Revenue for the quarter was $83.2 million, versus the consensus of $84.15 million. Same store sales fell 13.7%.
ScanSource Inc. (Nasdaq: SCSC) 6.8% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.47, 12 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.35. Revenue for the quarter was $441 million, versus the consensus of $427.40 million. ScanSource sees Q1 revenues of $445-$465 million, versus the consensus of $431.3 million.
SkillSoft Corporation (Nasdaq: SKIL) 6.5% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.17, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.14. Revenue for the quarter was $78.9 million, versus the consensus of $76.38 million. SkillSoft sees Q3 EPS of $0.12-$0.14, versus the consensus of $0.13. SkillSoft narrowed FY revenue guidance from a range of $300-$310 million to a range of $307-$310 million. SkillSoft raised FY EPS from $0.55-$0.58 to a new range of $0.59-$0.62 and the consensus of $0.58.
ExpressJet Holdings (NYSE: XJT) 6% HIGHER; announced that its Board of Directors has authorized an additional $10 million for the previously announced securities repurchase program.
Harris Stratex Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSTX) 6.2% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.09, 6 cents better than estimates. Revenue for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2009 was $135.2 million vs. $141.66 million consensus. The Company's current revenue expectations for the first quarter of fiscal year 2010 are in the range of $120 million to $140 million. (Consensus is $152.73M)
Verigy, Ltd. (Nasdaq: VRGY) 6% LOWER; reports Q2 loss of $0.24, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.30). Revenue for the quarter was $87 million, versus the consensus of $83.33 million. Verigy, Ltd. sees a Q4 loss of $0.17-$0.25, versus the consensus of a loss of $0.18. Sees Q4 revenues of $90-$100 million, versus the consensus of $94.2 million.
Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: BRCD) 4.4% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.12 adjusted, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.11. Revenue for the quarter was $493.3 million, versus the consensus of $503.67 million.
