Tupperware Brands (NYSE: TUP) 10.5% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.93, 4 cents worse than the analyst estimate of $0.97. Revenue for the quarter was $565.1 million, which compares to the estimate of $580.00 million. Sees Q3 adj-EPS of $0.54-$0.59, versus the consensus of $0.66.

Atheros Communications (Nasdaq: ATHR) 8.5% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.67, ex-items, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.64. Revenue for the quarter was $238.2 million, which compares to the estimate of $235.73 million.

ICU Medical (Nasdaq: ICUI) 8% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.56, versus the analyst estimate of $0.37. Revenue for the quarter was $68.9 million, which compares to the estimate of $65.18 million. Increases FY10 outlook, sees revs from $265 - $275 million to $270 - $275 million. EPS from $1.80 - $1.90 to $1.85 - $1.92. Consensus sees revs of $270.9 million and an EPS of $1.79. Announces 40 million common stock buyback.

Noble Corp (NYSE: NE) 5.9% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.85, which may not compare to the analyst estimate of $1.13. Revenue for the quarter was $709.92 million, which compares to the estimate of $788.96 million.

Texas Instruments (NYSE: TXN) 5.7% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.62, inline with the analyst estimate of $0.62. Revenue for the quarter was $3.5 billion, which compares to the estimate of $3.52 billion. Sees Q3 EPS of $0.64-$0.74, versus the consensus of $0.64, on sales of $3.55-$3.85 billion, which compares to the Street estimate of $3.59 billion.

Steel Dynamics (Nasdaq: STLD) 5% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.22, 3 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.25. Revenue for the quarter was $1.63 billion, which compares to the estimate of $1.64 billion.

IBM (NYSE: IBM) 4.1% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $2.61, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $2.58. Revenue for the quarter was $23.724 billion, which compares to the estimate of $24.22 billion. Raises FY10 outlook from at least $11.20 to at least $11.25, versus the consensus of $11.27.

Renaissance Learning (Nasdaq: RLRN) 3.7% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.15, versus the analyst estimate of $0.17. Revenue for the quarter was $31 million, which compares to the estimate of $31.62 million.

Ralcorp Holdings Inc. (NYSE: RAH) 3.5% LOWER; reports Q3 adjusted EPS of $1.11, 10 cents better than the analyst estimate of $1.01. Revenue for the quarter was $962.4 million, which compares to the estimate of $977.41 million.

Zions Bancorp (Nasdaq: ZION) 3.1% LOWER; reports Q2 loss of $0.84, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.55).

First M&F Corp. (Nasdaq: FMFC) 2.5% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.09, cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.28), and ($0.61) reported for the same period last year.

Bionovo, Inc. (Nasdaq: BNVI) 2.4% LOWER; filed a registration with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission today to sell, from time to time, up to 21,395,349 shares of Common Stock on behalf of a Selling Stockholder.

Griffon (NYSE: GFF) 1.1% HIGHER; will buy Ames True Temper for $542 million including debt. The company sees the purchase adding to EPS during FY11. Sees Q3 sales up 13-14%.

Amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN) 0.8% HIGHER; said sales of its e-books for its Kindle e-reader outnumber sales of hardcover books for the first time. In the last three months, for every 100 hardcover books Amazon.com has sold, it has sold 143 Kindle books. This is a significant accomplishment since there are only 630,000 Kindle books, a fraction of the millions of hardcover books sold at the site.
