After-Hours Movers 6/15: CLC, PENN Higher; PDLI, FSC, QLTI, HTRN, BP Lower

CLARCOR Inc. (NYSE: CLC) 5.5% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.47, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.41. Revenue for the quarter was $257.9 million, which compares to the estimate of $237.59 million. Increases FY10 EPS outlook from $1.55 - $1.70 to $1.70 - $1.85. Consensus sees an EPS of $1.69.

PDL BioPharma (Nasdaq: PDLI) 5.4% LOWER; sees Q2 sales of about $120 million, versus the consensus of $121. 4 million.

Fifth Street (NYSE: FSC) 3.9% LOWER; has commenced its public offering of up to 8 million shares of common stock. The company said it will grant the underwriters the option to purchase up to an additional 1.2 million shares to cover over-allotments, if necessary.

QLT Inc. (Nasdaq: QLTI) 3% LOWER; today announced that final results from the Novartis-sponsored Phase IIIb DENALI study were presented on June 8, 2010 during the World Ophthalmology Congress in Berlin. DENALI was a 24-month randomized, double-masked, multicenter trial in patients with subfoveal choroidal neovascularization secondary to wet age-related macular degeneration (all lesion types). The purpose of the study was to evaluate if Visudyne® (verteporfin PDT; Novartis Pharma AG, QLT Inc.) (either reduced- or standard-fluence) combined with Lucentis® (ranibizumab; Novartis Pharma AG, Genentech Inc.) was not inferior (with a non-inferiority margin of seven letters) to monthly Lucentis monotherapy with respect to the mean change from baseline in visual acuity and to evaluate the proportion of patients with a Lucentis treatment-free interval of at least three months duration after Month 2 until Month 11.

HealthTronics, Inc. (Nasdaq: HTRN) 2% LOWER; announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Endocare, Inc., has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. FDA for Endocare's Cryocare CS Surgical System, including Endocare's variable cryoprobe, known as the V-Probe.

BP (NYSE: BP) 1.7% LOWER; a US government research group has just raised its estimate for the amount of oil leaking from BP's well to 35,000-60,000 barrels of oil per day.

Boston Private Financial Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: BPFH) 1.6% LOWER; today announced that it plans to raise approximately $25 million through the sale of shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. All of the shares will be offered by BPFH and will be issued under BPFH's currently effective registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The underwriters will have a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 15 percent of the offered amount of common stock from the Company.

Penn National Gaming (Nasdaq: PENN) 1.1% HIGHER; has just announced that it will replace its prior buyback program with a new $300 million buyback.

TD AMERITRADE Holding Corporation (NASDAQ: AMTD) 1% LOWER; today announced Company metrics for May 2010. Monthly activities included: An average of 484,000 client trades per day in May 2010, up 18 percent from May 2009 and up 13 percent from April 2010. Approximately $332.4 billion in total client assets as of May 31, 2010, up 29 percent from May 2009 and down 5 percent from April 2010. Average spread-based balances of $54.4 billion, up 77 percent from May 2009 and up 1 percent from April 2010. Average fee-based balances of $62.2 billion, up 2 percent from May 2009 and down 3 percent from April 2010.
