After-Hours Movers 5/21: NetApp (NTAP) Falls On Cautious Outlook; Nordson (NDSN) Up on Results/Guidance

Westell Technologies (Nasdaq: WSTL) 16% LOWER; reports a Q4 loss of $0.05, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of ($0.04). Revenues for the quarter were $44.7 million, versus the consensus of $45 million. Sees Q1 revs of $39-$41 million, versus the consensus of $50.3 million and sees a Q1 loss of $0.08-$0.09, versus ($0.01).
NetApp, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTAP) 10% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.38, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.36. Revenues for the quarter were $938 million, versus the consensus of $938.11 million. Sees Q1 20-23 cents versus 27 cents. Q1 revenues $845 to $875 million versus $871 million. FY08 EPS $1.40 to $1.46 versus $1.43. Sees FY08 $3.79-$3.95 billion versus $3.88 billion. On the call, the CEO said they saw sluggishness in the US.
Nordson (Nasdaq: NDSN) 9% HIGHER; reports Q EPS of $0.97, 14 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.83. Revenues for the quarter were $294.1 million, versus the consensus of $279.53 million. Sees Q3 EPS of $0.91-$1.01, versus the consensus of $0.81. Sees Q3 sales up 13-17%.
Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc (NYSE: JTX) 6% LOWER; cuts full-year guidance. Jackson Hewitt now sees FY08 EPS of $1.34-$1.39 versus the consensus of $1.51. Sees FY08 revenue of $282 million to $292 million versus consensus of $278.33 million.
Encore Acquisition Company (NYSE: EAC) 5% HIGHER; said its Board of Directors has authorized the Company’s management team to explore a broad range of strategic alternatives to further enhance shareholder value, including, but not limited to, a sale or merger of the Company.
AMR Corporation (NYSE: AMR) 4.6% LOWER; Bounces after falling 24% today.
Longs Drug Stores (NYSE: LDG) 4% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.63, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.60. Revenues for the quarter were $1.41 billion, versus the consensus of $1.39 billion. Sees FY09 EPS of $3.02-$3.12, versus the consensus of $3.06.
Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE: RAD) 4% LOWER; plans to offer $150 million aggregate principal amount of convertible notes due 2015, pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement previously filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission
Salesforce.com, Inc. (NYSE: CRM) 2.6% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.08, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.07. Revenues for the quarter were $247.6 million, versus the consensus of $235.84 million. Sees Q2 EPS of $0.07-$0.08, versus the consensus of $0.08. Sees Q2 revs of $258-$259 million, versus $250.8 million. Sees FY08 EPS of $0.33-$0.34, versus $0.34 and revs of $1.06-$1.065 billion, versus $1.05 billion.
