NexMed, Inc. (NASDAQ: NEXM) 52% HIGHER; announced that the U.S. FDA has cleared the Company to proceed with the proposed Phase 2 trial of PrevOnco™, its proprietary cancer treatment for patients with advanced, unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma, or liver cancer. The FDA granted PrevOnco™ orphan drug status in August 2008, and in March 2010, NexMed filed its Investigational New Drug (IND) application for the product candidate.

Data I/O Corp. (Nasdaq: DAIO) 17.8% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.08, versus ($0.05) reported for the same period a year ago. Revenue for the quarter was $6.3 million, compared to $4.4 million in Q109.

SolarWinds (NYSE: SWI) 14.2% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.16, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.16. Revenue for the quarter was $34.3 million, which compares to the estimate of $34.33 million. Financial Outlook for Second Quarter 2010: Total revenue in the range of $36.0-$37.8 million vs. consensus of $37.70M, Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share of $0.165-$0.175, or approximately $0.17 vs. consensus of $0.17. Financial Outlook for Full Year 2010: Total revenue in the range of $159.0-$165.0 million vs. consensus of $161.62M. Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share of $0.72-$0.75 vs. consensus of $0.74.

PLX Tech (Nasdaq: PLXT) 13.9% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.07, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.04. Revenue for the quarter was $28.8 million, which compares to the estimate of $27.97 million. Net revenues for Q2 ended June 30, 2010, are expected to be between $28.0 million and $31.0 million. (Consensus is $28.95M)

IPC The Hospitalist (Nasdaq: IPCM) 10.7% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.35, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.35. Revenue for the quarter was $87.7 million, which compares to the estimate of $89.02 million. The Company reaffirms its guidance for the full year 2010 and expects revenue to be in the range of $352 million to $361 million and earnings per diluted share to be in the range of $1.34 to $1.43. (Consensus is $363.85M and $1.42, respectively)

Zoran (Nasdaq: ZRAN) 9% LOWER; reports a Q1 loss of $0.03, in-line the analyst estimate of ($0.03). Revenue for the quarter was $90.5 million, which compares to the estimate of $92.62 million. Sees Q2 sales of $90-$94 million. Sees Q2 adj-loss of $0.05-$0.09.

Synovus Financial Corp. (NYSE: SNV) 7.5% LOWER; today announced ongoing elements of its Capital Plan, consisting of initiatives expected to increase its Tier 1 common equity by approximately $630 million and improve its Tier 1 common equity ratio to 8.50%. Solutia Inc. (NYSE: SOA) 7.4% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.33, ex-items, 7 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.26. Revenue for the quarter was $466 million, which compares to the estimate of $435.50 million. Sees FY10 adj-EPS of $1.40-$1.50. Sees annual sales growth of 10-15%.

Dynavax Technologies Corporation (Nasdaq: DVAX) 7% HIGHER; today presented preclinical data that confirms the expected immunogenicity and mechanistic effects of its Universal Flu vaccine. In addition to the demonstrated ability of Dynavax's vaccine to generate cytotoxic T-cells and cytotoxic antibodies, the data presented today at the Thirteenth Annual Conference on Vaccine Research in Baltimore, MD, show that the universal components of Dynavax's vaccine enhance the efficacy of a standard flu vaccine by increasing antibody production directed at virus neutralization. These data are key indicators of immunogenicity and the potential for dose-sparing in the event of a pandemic. Dynavax's Universal Flu vaccine is uniquely designed to combine a TLR9 agonist and two conserved antigens, NP and M2e, with a standard trivalent flu vaccine.

Emulex (NYSE: ELX) 6.7% LOWER; reports Q3 adjusted EPS of $0.30, 14 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.16. Revenue for the quarter was $102.2 million, which compares to the estimate of $102.45 million. Sees Q4 EPS of $0.16 - $0.18, versus the consensus of $0.18. Also sees Q410 revs of $100 - $103 million, versus $106.7 million consensus.

Mindspeed (Nasdaq: MSPD) 5% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.15, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.11. Revenue for the quarter was $40.3 million, which compares to the estimate of $39.66 million. Mindspeed expects fiscal third quarter of 2010 revenues to grow between 5-9%, or to approximately $42.3 million to $43.9 million, from the fiscal second quarter of 2010, excluding potential patent sales, if any. (Consensus is $40.79M) The company expects fiscal third quarter of 2010 non-GAAP gross margin to be approximately 64%, excluding potential patent sales, if any. The company also expects non-GAAP operating expenses to be approximately $21.5 million in the fiscal third quarter of 2010.

WMS Industries (NYSE: WMS) 5% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.49, ex-items, 1 cent lower than the analyst estimate of $0.50. Revenue for the quarter was $197.5 million, which compares to the estimate of $202.74 million. Sees Q4 sales of $213-$223 million, versus the consensus of $220.58 million.

Extreme Networks (Nasdaq: EXTR) 4.9% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.06, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.04. Revenue for the quarter was $78.2 million, which compares to the estimate of $77.98 million. For its 2010 fiscal fourth quarter ending June 27, 2010, the Company currently expects net revenue to be in a range of $82-$85 million (vs. consensus of $81.50M); gross margin of 57%-59%; non-GAAP operating income of $5.0-$7.0 million; and non-GAAP net income of $0.05-$0.07 per diluted share (vs. consensus of $0.05).

Hickory Tech Corp. (Nasdaq: HTCO) 2.9% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.11, versus the analyst estimate of $0.16. Revenue for the quarter was $38.7 million, which compares to the estimate of $38.10 million. Reaffirms guidance.

Boston Scientific (NYSE: BSX) 2.7% LOWER; reports Q1 adj-EPS of $0.16, 8 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.08. Revenue for the quarter was $1.96 billion, which compares to the estimate of $2 billion. Sees Q2 sales of $1.83-$1.93 billion, versus the consensus of $1.99 billion. Sees quarterly adj-EPS of $0.06-$0.10, which compares to the Street estimate of $0.08. Sees FY10 sales of $7.6-$8 billion on EPS of $0.50-$0.60. The Street is currently looking for FY10 sales and EPS of $8.05 billion and $0.37, respectively.

Rent-A-Center (Nasdaq: RCII) 2.5% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.77, ex-items, 10 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.67. Revenue for the quarter was $718.4 million, which compares to the estimate of $706.76 million. Sees Q2 sales of $670-$685 million, versus the consensus of $672.87 million. Sees FY10 sales of $2.73-$2.78 billion, which compares to the Street estimate of $2.74 billion.

SuperGen Inc. (Nasdaq: SUPG) 2.4% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.08, which may not compare to the analyst estimate of $0.02. Revenue for the quarter was $14.4 million, which compares to the estimate of $12.22 million.

Health Management (NYSE: HMA) 2.2% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.19, ex-items, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.17. Revenue for the quarter was $1.29 billion, which compares to the estimate of $1.30 billion. Raises its FY10 EPS guidance from $0.53-$0.58 to $0.56-$0.61, versus the consensus of $0.57.

American Capital Agency (Nasdaq: AGNC) 2.2% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $2.13 vs. the analyst estimate of $1.28 - may not be comparable. Revenue for the quarter was $23.3 million, which compares to the estimate of $22.10 million.

RadioShack (NYSE: RSH) 2% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.39, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.36. Revenue for the quarter was $1.04 billion, which compares to the estimate of $1.00 billion. Comps up 4.7%.

Ultra Clean Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: UCTT) 2% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.17, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.13. Revenue for the quarter was $98.5 million, which compares to the estimate of $85 million. Sees Q2 EPS of $0.17-$0.20, versus the consensus of $0.19, on sales of $95-$100 million, which compares to the Street estimate of $91.9 million.

Veeco Instruments (Nasdaq: VECO) 2% HIGHER; reports Q1 non-GAAP EPS of $0.49, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.48. Revenue for the quarter was $163.20 million, which compares to the estimate of $163.89 million. Sees Q210 revs of $220 - $240 million and EPS of $0.78 - $0.90. Compared to the consensus revs of $195.88 million and an EPS of $0.59.

Texas Instruments (NYSE: TXN) 1% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.52, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.51. Revenue for the quarter was $3.21 billion, which compares to the estimate of $3.13 billion. Sees Q2 EPS of $0.56-$0.64, versus the consensus of $0.53. Sees Q2 sales of $3.31-$3.59 billion, versus the consensus of $3.22 billion.

Ameriprise Financial (NYSE: AMP) 1% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.81, inline with the analyst estimate of $0.81. Raises its quarterly dividend from $0.17 to $0.18 per common share.

Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) 0.8% LOWER; Goldman Sach's removed the stock from its Conviction Buy list.
