Waste Services (Nasdaq: WSII) 25% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.03, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.03. Revenue for the quarter was $95.8 million, versus the consensus of $104.8 million.

RC2 Corp. (Nasdaq: RCRC) 24% HIGHER; reports Q1 loss of $0.11, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.02). Revenue for the quarter was $86.3 million, versus the consensus of $82.22 million. Sees FY09 EPS about $1.35 versus consensus of $1.28

Molex (Nasdaq: MOLX) 20% HIGHER; reports Q3 loss of $0.14 ex-items, 7 cents below the analyst estimate of ($0.07). Revenue for the quarter was $505.5 million, versus the consensus of $528.14 million.

Capital One Financial (NYSE: COF) 11.5% LOWER; reports Q1 loss of $0.39 from continuing operations, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.08). Revenue for the quarter was $2.89 billion, versus $3.9 billion in Q108.

SanDisk Corp. (Nasdaq: SNDK) 10.3% HIGHER; reports Q1 loss of $0.48, 28 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.76). Revenue for the quarter was $659 million, versus the consensus of $537.72 million. On the call, SanDisk (Nasdaq: SNDK) said it sees Q2 sales of $650-$725 million which is above the consensus of $579 million. SanDisk sees Q2 gross margin improving.

Conceptus (Nasdaq: CPTS) 10% HIGHER; reports Q1 loss of $0.05, ex-items, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.16). Revenue for the quarter was $27.2 million, versus the consensus of $26.22 million.

Century Aluminum (Nasdaq: CENX) 10% LOWER; reports Q1 loss of $1.77, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.98). Revenue for the quarter was $224.6 million, versus the consensus of $229.95 million.

Norfolk Southern (NYSE: NSC) 9.4% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.47, 7 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.54. Revenue for the quarter was $1.9 billion, versus the consensus of $2.04 billion.

Plains Exploration & Production Company (NYSE: PXP) 7.4% LOWER; announced a registered underwritten public offering of 10,000,000 shares of its common stock. PXP will grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to 1,500,000 additional shares of common stock from PXP. Net proceeds from the offering are expected to be used for general corporate purposes, including future capital expenditures. Additionally, PXP reiterates its 2009 full year operating and financial guidance issued February 25, 2009.

The South Financial Group Inc (Nasdaq: TSFG) 6.5% LOWER; reports Q1 loss of $1.08, ex-items, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.81).

Vornado Realty Trust (NYSE: VNO) 6% LOWER; commenced a public offering for 12,500,000 of its common shares. In addition, Vornado expects to grant to the underwriters for the public offering an option for 30 days to purchase up to 1,875,000 additional common shares to cover overallotments, if any. Merrill Lynch & Co. and J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. will serve as the joint book-running managers.

C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHRW) 6% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.50, 2 cents better than estimates. Revenues were 1.69 billion vs. $1.92 billion consensus.

Cadence Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: CADE) 5.9% HIGHER; reports Q1 loss of $1.48, compared to the analyst estimate of ($0.20).

AMD (NYSE: AMD) 5.4% LOWER; reports Q1 loss of $0.62, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.66). Revenue for the quarter was $1.18 billion, versus the consensus of $977.80 million.

Illumina (Nasdaq: ILMN) 5% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.28, 9 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.19. Revenue for the quarter was $165.8 million, versus the consensus of $163.82 million. Sees FY09 EPS of $1.13-$1.23, versus the Street estimate of $0.89 and revs of $700-$720 million, versus the consensus of $717.6 million.

Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YHOO) 4.9% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.15, ex-items, or $0.08 unadjusted versus the analyst estimate of $0.08. Revenue for the quarter was $1.16 billion, versus the consensus of $1.20 billion. Sees Q2 sales of $1.425-$1.625 billion, which does not compare to the consensus of $1.22 billion. Cutting 5% of jobs.

Gilead Sciences (Nasdaq: GILD) 3.5% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.66, compared to the analyst view of $0.59. Revenue for the quarter was $1.53 billion, versus $1.53 billion analyst consensus.

Marten Transport (Nasdaq: MRTN) 3.5% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.18, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.14. Revenue for the quarter was $122 million, versus the consensus of $131 million.

Cree Inc. (Nasdaq: CREE) 3.3% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.13, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.11. Revenue for the quarter was $131.1 million, versus the consensus of $130.58 million. Sees Q4 EPS of $0.05-$0.07, versus the consensus of $0.13 and revs of $137-$143 million, versus the Street estimate of $136.4 million.
