Packaging Corporation of America (NYSE: PKG) 10.7% HIGHER; reports Q1 GAAP EPS of $0.25, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.19. Revenue for the quarter was $512.4 million, versus the consensus of $536.10 million. Sees Q2 EPS of about $0.15, which compares to the Street estimate of $0.15.

Healthways (Nasdaq: HWAY) 10.6% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.30, compared to $0.27 in the same quarter last year.. Revenue for the quarter was $182.7 million, versus $180.9 million in Q08. Sees Q2 EPS of $0.22-$0.25, including items. Backs its FY09 EPS guidance of $0.90-$1.04 with sales of $652-$680 million.

Zions Bancorp (Nasdaq: ZION) 8.9% LOWER; reports Q1 loss of $0.39, versus the analyst estimate of ($1.77).

Lincare Holdings (Nasdaq: LNCR) 6.5% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.36, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.36. Revenue for the quarter was $371.7 million, versus the consensus of $386.38 million.

Superconductor Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: SCON) 6% HIGHER; said it will be participating with a major wireless original equipment manufacturer in a long-term evolution field trial with a tier-one U.S. wireless operator for its new 700 megahertz network. JDA Software (Nasdaq: JDAS) 6% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.26, 5 cents below the analyst estimate of $0.31. Revenue for the quarter was $83.3 million, versus the consensus of $89.13 million.

Forward Air (Nasdaq: FWRD) 5.7% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.04, versus the analyst estimate of $0.05. Revenue for the quarter was $96.6 million, versus the consensus of $93.53 million. Forward Air sees Q2 6c to 12c versus 15 cents consensus. Sees Q2 revenues down 11% to 16%.

Texas Instruments (NYSE: TXN) 3.3% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.07, ex-items, or $0.01 including items, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.03). Revenue for the quarter was $2.09 billion, versus the consensus of $1.90 billion. Sees Q2 EPS of $0.01-$0.15, versus the consensus of $0.02, with revs of $1.95-$2.4 billion, versus the Street estimate of $1.94 billion.

Mellanox Technologies (Nasdaq: MLNX) 3% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.15, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.09. Revenue for the quarter was $22.6 million, versus the consensus of $22.38 million.

International Business Machines (NYSE: IBM) 2% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $1.70, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $1.66. Revenue for the quarter was $21.7 billion, versus the consensus of $22.51 billion. Reaffirms forecast.
